That's what I feel as a Saints fan, but lots of clubs end up with games in hand after cancellations which means the table can never be definitive if that rule was applied.

 

I think it's acceptable to apply that rule if the game is still within the same "matchday", i.e. Friday night-Monday night (assuming it's only been moved for TV/Europa League requirements).

 

I think that having a Sunday/Monday fixture is a little different to having a game in hand though Fran don't you? Even without my red and white tinted specs on I would still say that we were top at that time. With them on, I will simply not be argued with

The fact that we haven't been outside the top 2 at the final whistle of any of our matches this season is some achievement...
