Losing faurlin, he was our box to box midfielder who could tackle and do that most important thing for a midfielder ...........pass to a team mate.
I was surprised at the sacking of Warnock but I felt you should have either done it earlier or not all similar to McCarthy at Wolves and AVB at Chelsea. Hughes is now in a position whereby he is being asked to work with players that are not his, and pick up wins against the likes of Liverpool, United, Chelsea and Arsenal to ensure PL survival. It's mission impossible. Must admit as a neutral I was furious when Newcastle sacked Hughton and WBA sacked Di Matteo but they acted quickly and must have seen something in training/behind closed doors to suggest they couldn't get out of it. Hodgson and Pardew aren't "big names" as such but they will guarantee you PL Football every season on a small-ish budget.
DL, you are right in some respects. I’ve said this many times before, but our timing has been appalling all season. We endured the summer months where the previous owners refused to allow Neil Warnock to buy any players. When Tony Fernandes finally took over there were only a handful of days remaining in the transfer window and the only players still available were damaged goods that no one else wanted such as Barton and SWP. We did desperately need better players than we had, there were all that was available. When Warnock took the job he said that he needed to sign two teams, one to get us promoted, one to keep us in the Premier League. He was allowed to do the first, which he did very successfully, but was not allowed to complete the job. Fernandes should have then either sacked him earlier (as you suggest) or not at all. He was undoubtedly as desperate for Warnock to succeed as we were and so delayed his decision too long. Being a sentimental old fool, I respect him for trying to give Warnock every chance but, with hindsight, he should have acted sooner. Hughes came in with little time to assess the team and make the signings he thought were appropriate. Again we floundered desperately in the transfer market with not enough time to sot things properly. The poor timing is costing us, but with Tony’s and Amit’s indulgence we will be back.

1 and 2 were key, I was also on record as wanting to change manager in the summer. Perhaps we might have stayed up if that happened. but then wed have stays up if we played Cerny, if the players didnt get stupid red cards, if the officials did their job, if Faurlin didnt play in the FA cup, if we didnt sign Barton, if we were sold earlier. Ive been convinced weve been going down for a long time because every week weve managed to find a different way to lose games, usually by a single goal with Liverpool being the exception. Everything that can go wrong, has gone wrong.
Absolutely spot on Judo....I can take defeat (badly) but i expect a decent fight...... Fact is we just haven't tried hard enough...........absolutley gutted with ya pal.!!!

Your owners didn't back Warnock full stop.I would have thought that having done the hard bit in some style he would have inspired more confidence.Despite leaking 7 the other night he has now taken six points from three games,two of them away. If they had allowed him the money Hughes hadI think your position would be very different.He blew your survival chances by losing the winnable games you had left
Christ I thought I was negative! How many points did you all realistically think we were going to get from the last two games? I was expecting at best a point against Liverpool and nothing away at Sunderland! I would have settled for 3 before the games without doubt! Yes we're crap, and all the points above are exactly why we're crap, but we're not relegated just yet. There are still points to be had and some games where we could get some. I'm the eternal doom merchant, but you lot make me want to take my hooped shirt and strangle myself with it!!!
Agree, in many ways relegation would not be such a bad thing for a club of your financial backing. Your owners hearts are in the right place but inexperience and genuine mistakes have lead to your plight. They will learn from this and you will come back stronger much like West H*m will. Besides if Southampton, West Ham and someone like Leeds/Leicester all come up then the likes of Bolton, Blackburn and even Swansea/Norwich are in big trouble IMO.
Hughes has only had what I'd identify as 5 winnable games since he has come in. Wigan at home - which he won. Wolves at home - Which he lost thanks to Cisse Fulham at home - Big Derby, Diakite red card. Blackburn away - Poor performance, but no shame in losing to Blackburn who IMO will finish midtable. Bolton away - Very controversial and extremely unlucky, had Hill's goal been awarded it's a different game entirely. Hughes beat Liverpool at home which atones for one of those losses. Now I'm not being funny but 3/4 winnable games which we lost were down to circumstances out of his control, when your luck is out it's out. I still maintain that since the 6-0 loss to Fulham, QPR haven't been the same team. Even Barton and SWP were playing well until that point. December was the month that really cost you guys IMO.
I think we were also in for Bobby Zamora, and we are very pleased we did not get him, not a lot from him in the game just a very embarrassing act about being hit in the face. Cisse I would have him back, pity he cannot stay on the pitch he will get goals and could keep you up, out for four games, could be crucial. I have a soft spot for QPR, lived in the area for awhile, so I hope you stay up.
Sacking Warnock and appointing Hughes was a huge mistake. Apart from anything else the money spent should have gone on players. I'm sorry for our fans and our players, neither are responsible for the organisational car crash. Hughes has always been all mouth and elbows and no trousers. Thuggery gets found out in management as we at QPR should know well. See JM.
The players arent responsible? Seriously? Not sacking Warnock earlier was the big mistake. I never wanted Hughes either but Warnock was not doing his job.
