Norwich have done great, so have we, glad we are not alone in having to deal with petty jealousy from rivals <ok>

They have to be in the same league to be considered rivals though, which means for the Swans that Villa will be our local rivals from next season.

I can't argue with this. I am not having a dig at Swansea or Norwich, I think their current teams would have done just fine 3 or 4 years ago when I believe the PL was much stronger. And yes, I would love us to be there but we aren't. Doesn't change my opinion that it's worse than it has been for a number of years.

All the 'world class' players that have come in have all gone to one team. The only team out of the top lot that is better than it ever has been.

Valley, what about West Brom too ? Next season it could include Reading, Southampton and Birmingham, they're not a million miles away.

Well west brom and brum are all in the same general area, reading is a good shout though they are a good team , and it could have been them up last year.

yes, i want to be in the premierleague.

cant argue with that, the championship is probably the same level as it was last season, the likes of southampton, millwall and peterborough arent worse than the teams that went down. the overall standard is quite low football wise, it always has been. our problem this season has been the lack of squad depth, the players are knackered after many of them playing almost every minute of both the carling cup and league..

with respect, you havnt a clue about me as a member on here. you wouldnt know for example that i thought lambert deserves manager of the season, followed by rodgers, i have made numerous complementary posts on both norwich and swansea. i have enjoyed watching norwich this season.

'know nothing about football and resort to mud slinging' i know plenty about football thankyou, i watch alot of PL football, my knowledge of the championship is sketchy as i only see cardiff matches.

thinking swansea and norwich have done fantastically well, and at the same time believing the overall standard of the league has slowly gone down, arent mutually exclusive,

Most of what I read on the subject of a " Weak Premier League " refers to the League being compared to other countries RE ; Champions League . It's just being regurgitated by clubs who can't come to grips at what we've accomplished IMO

Using the champions league as a guide for how weak the premier league is not really an accurate picture. How about the French, Italian, Spanish, and German leagues, are they weak as well ?

The Premier League being weak , I was referring to , is only the " Top Clubs " from each country being compared within " Champions League . Some seasons have seen 3 Premier League teams in the quarter finals if I'm not mistaken .The Premier League is taking a bit of a back seat in that department this season . Got to say I've not seen much about how " weak " the premier league is within itself

The mud-slinging comment applies to your "big club" fans as clearly explained

That rules out Cardiff i'm afraid.

16 teams left competing in Europe , only 1 of them from the Premier I think , not as strong as a lot of other countries teams this season .

I'm still waiting (after all this time) to hear the name of a pundit, and not a Cardiff fan that thinks the Premier League is weak.

I agree, Dilli. That's been bandied about by Swamp and others, including the dickhead that is John Hughs but I've watched all the coverage this season on Sky and BBC1 and don't remember anyone saying it at all.

They keep going on about the fact that Man U aren't the team of old but that does not mean the standard of the whole League has dropped. It hasn't imo. Smacks of the title of this thread to me.

Norway, would that explain then why if Cardiff were in the Prem they would be bottom of the table ?

Aussie, no other way to describe it mate, it is sour grapes in fact we could add a lot more to it if we wanted to.

Not a chance in hell. We would have been inundated every day with every moron from the dark side of the force. The fact we've only had their sensible ones on this thread says it all.
