I think Holt was an absolute berk for the second yellow. There was absolutlely no need to go charging in like he did, and after seeing the highlights Holt did deserve the first yellow as he did make contact with johnson with his elbow!

Now we have to play fulham with jackson who cant atm hit a cows arse with a banjo, morrison who is on a goal drought and low on confidence and willbraham our league 1 striker and maybe Vaughan if he is ever fit this side of xmas!!. I hope to be proved wrong here but i think we will really strugle next week, the have lots of goals with Dempsey, Pog(whateverhisname is). Plus the can be very good counter atacking! I would have loved us to gone there full strength and wipe the floor with them after our 6-0 defeat last time! good job we are pretty much safe!!

I agree he was a complete mug.

Bit of an over-reaction with the rest of it though. I thought Jackson has been very good- he pulls defences every which way and creates space and got the assist for Holt's first. We know he can finish though. Morison is low on confidence, but I thought he looked sharp when he came on for the last ten yesterday and he'll now have a full 90 against Fulham, rested, and without any pressure. Wilbraham has been consistently fantastic every time he's played and I for one have no qualms about him playing. Only a De Gea special stopped him scoring against Man U.

I can't see us getting a huge amount from Fulham even if we did have Holt anyway, so pressures off and let's go and enjoy it!

    OK...

Well Holt scored two goals yesterday, both of which were well taken so I really don't think you can be that angry with him. What he did for his second yellow was stupid, yes - but that's the kind of player Holt is - he'll never give up a lost cause and, as a result, he will be reckless at times.

Jackson wasn't at his best yesterday but his assist for Holt's first goal was exquisite, and to be fair, he seems to be playing to a fairly good standard at the moment without scoring goals - remember that he hasn't had many opportunities to score himself anyway, so saying he can't 'hit a cow's arse with a banjo' at the moment seems a little harsh.

Morison is on a goal drought at the moment, yes - but that will end faster the more starts he is given - it's not like he'll never score again.

Wilbraham, whenever he's come on, has played well this year. His link up play is fantastic and he may well be the perfect fit for Jackson's style of play.

Yes, Fulham are good, but they are still beatable. Swansea beat them 3-0 at Craven Cottage just over a week ago. Why can't we get a similar result, especially with the aforementioned added motivation?

Considering you've had almost 24 hours to cool off, your post seems pretty irrational, don't you think?

Yes, I agree with Rob - I think this is a bit of an over-reaction. It's good that Morrison gets a stress-free chance to prove he can get his early season form back and I think Jackson has done really well this season. He is the sort of selfless player who doesn't always get the credit he deserves.

I would love to get some kind of revenge for that 6-0, though. I feel that the result at Fulham defined our club for years and it would be great to finally get it out of our system as a way of saying 'this is a new Norwich city'.

Hucks your sense and reasoning belie your tender years! An excellent response to a somewhat OTT post from Sam! As you so rightly say, his second yellow tipifies his never say die attitude, long may it continue!

Time for someone to step up, i'm not generally in favour of slagging our players off.

We do have a lot of goals in the midfield too. Pilks and surman come to mind. Zak is always getting his head to corners and howson looks good to chip in.
It is incredibly frustrating not to have holty, but we're not a one man team.

You could see that he was going as soon as he starting tracking back and running at the player as soon as he went in you knew he was being carded, such a shame as he is very important at least you should be safe now, good work by you, thought you would stay up, I had money on you aswell so I am happy with that.

As has been said its the kind of player he is, while its frustrating I would rather have a player who chases down every lost cause but gets the odd booking to one who doesn't care and puts in no effort. While I agree it should have been a yellow it really was not that bad a tackle, I've seen him do worse. I sure Lambert had a quiet work with him after.

Anyway on the plus side it gives the others a chance to stake a claim for a first team spot and may drive them on. We are more than able to score goals without him as we did in many games at the start of the season. Maybe it will be the catalyst for someone else to step up, still plenty to play for.

I actually think this may benefit Morison as he now won't go into the game, assuming he starts, knowing that if he doesn't score he'll be replaced by Holt so the pressure will be off.

As for Holt's red, yes he was tit diving in how he did for the second yellow, but he only got the first because of Roger Johnson. Clattenburg had given us the free kick and booked Johnson and it was only after Johnson motioned with his elbow he booked Holt. Had he seen the elbow Wolves would have had the free kick as the elbow came before the foul on Holt.

I thought Jackson was fantastic yesterday - the crowd seemed to agree when he was subbed off too.

I'd like to see Wilbraham and Jackson start. Wilbraham is a more skilful player than he gets the credit for and I think he would set up goals for Jackson.

So good to see Jackson doing well for you, I knew he had it in him, always said keep the faith in him, he and Grant Holt are real success stories of players rising from the lower divisions right to the top.
