    Two dead pigeons, a falcon (edit...sparrowhawk) and a shifty-looking cat.

    There were feathers all over the place this morning when I took the dog out. The falcon was on top of one of the pigeons having a good old feast while the cat was sitting on top of a nearby fence looking very shifty.

    All this at 8am on an easy Sunday morning.

    The cat was obviously keeping an eye out for the bacon whilst the falcon disposed of the evidence.

    It'll be on Crimewatch next week - I'd invest in a bodyguard if I were you...

    No but last night about 200 squawking seagulls flew over my house on the way to the coast about seven miles away. What a racket they were making. Wonder where they'd been, they might have been to the Bigg Market for a knee's-up before heading home to Whitley Bay.

    <laugh>
    Oh I reckon the cat did the pigeons, but then got scared off by something and a passing falcon (looking as mean as) got in on the act.

    Don't remember vast flocks of pigeons sweeping majestically over the Serengeti plains. I must've missed that episode of Planet Earth...

    Was a vicious-looking thing but it disappeared when it saw me and didn't come back. A couple of years ago a young deer legged it down our street, wtf!

    That's the one, that's the killer. They seem adept at plucking the feathers, in order to get to the flesh I imagine. Cat's let off then, he was just an innocent bystander.
