How many games must you have played

in the Championship campaign to qualify for a winners medal?

Is Nigel trying to ensure that as many players as possible qualify for a Championship Winners Medal?

 

I think you will find it is Ten.....

 

10 - Aaron Martin is one off the number so surely deserving of one more appearence?

 

I'm sure NA will be aware of that - I'm assuming he only needs to come off the bench.

 

Is it really ten? If so then won't Lee and Sharp miss out on one even with the goals they have scored so far?

 

According to wiki Lee's on 7 league games, Sharp on 8, I reckon they'll be okay.

 

Doesn't seem right. Still, they could both make it to ten appearances.

 

Does Bart deserve one?

It's a bit of a shame about some of the guys who have missed out but still played a good part.

This thread is getting dangerously long without someone proclaiming we haven't won it yet

 

I checked the games played for the players last week, but decided that Adkins would never let sentiment get in the way of the title. Might be different if we were assured of title with a game or two to go. Then I would hope he'd at least check on the players who were close to the magic 10 like Martin.

 

We haven't won it yet. Happy now?

 

So the players who have below 10 appearances so far and how many more appearances they need to make to gain a winners medal are as follows:

Seaborne - 6
Butterfield - 6
Barnard - 5
Lee - 3
Puncheon - 3
Sharp - 2
Martin - 1

Players who physically can't get one now:

Bialkowski - 9
Falque - 9
Holmes & Forte (6 & 7 but away on season long loans)

P.S I'm not sure about Reeves... When does his loan spell at Dag&Red end? Anyway he needs 5 more appearances to warrant a medal.

Martin has been involved in EVERY matchday squad this season, I would be gutted if he never got a medal as he has always been involved and ready

 

Premier League football next season should be enough

 

Some of these players will not be with us next season and deserve some reward for a really successful season if we do gain promotion and go up as champions.
