Confession time - I was one of those who thought he wouldn't be able to cut it at premier level. Ashamed to admit it now, because he has been fantastic this season. Another great goal today which belies his reputation as a bit of an old-fashioned workhorse striker. On the contrary, he has great touch as the first goal shows. What a wonderful three years it has been and a large part of that is down to Holt.
Holt is blossoming into the greatest of all the Norwich City legends. He waited and he waited and he finally got the shot he's deserved since day one. when he scores he scores for Norwich, for Shrewsbury, for Rochdale and Sengkang Marine. that this guys talent went unnoticed and untapped is criminal. Always the cult hero, never recognised, maybe he needed those years to build him into the player he is today. The guy is true and loyal and a shining example of professionalism in a league full of sleaze, pretty much living his life as near to a superhero as you can get. Like I said the other day. The only Lambert that counts is Paul Lambert. Rickie Lamberts good, but your a one man team without him. Holt is, and always will be, his superior.

Yawn, another Holt Vs Lambert arguement. Holt is scoring in the Premiership, Lambert never has. Thus Holt can be judged to be marginally better. Other than that the 2 seasons before they pretty much had the same record. (Maybe Lamberts was marginally better last year but he was in league 1) Rickie Lambert is a top player Adam Banana is a massive wum and for that reason tarnishes the name of Rickie Lambert.
