The Ramires one happened mostly outside of the box as well.

Not the Ramires one but the Lampard one was stonewall.

We don't deserve top 4 anyway. Too many budget performances. RDM is a hero and it's not his fault. The clear out will come and it will be a new Chelsea next season.

DL, you've got a point with the Lampard pen shout. There was contact and gallas didnt touch the ball. - could easily have been a pen. there was nothing in the assou-ekotto/ramires shout though. ramires looked for that.

you guys could have been beaten quite heavily second half, but some cracking defending and goalkeeping kept you in it. Cahill was quality, as was terry and cole. (and Cech obviously).

totsfan is right DL, the ref gave us nothing today. scott parker's handball? - ridiculous. every 50/50 went your way as the ref waited for the crowd to kick up a fuss and then made his decision. saha had free kicks go against him for no reason, one of which had one of your players led on the ground behind him where he couldnt even see him! - bizarre. and ashley cole throws the ball to the floor after a decision going against him and doesn't get booked. - that was the most blatant yellow card all game.

To be honest I think the ref was **** today, for both sides, but maybe worse for Spurs. I don't think either were pens as Gallas was simply there trying to block the ball, lampard tried to shoot and kicked Gallas instead.

The ref gave you two decisions that could have easily been given as penalties, especially the Lampard one!

    Neither were pens.

That's it now. Lets see Paizon,Bertrand and Lukaku given some games now and keep the old boys fit and fresh for the FA Cup and at least make the CL semis.
    5th 6th or 7th has the same result,Channel 5.

    1) due a bit of luck against us? What like a ref giving you a goal when the ball aint crossed the line? <doh>
Or not giving a nailed on pen (like when Keane was tripped a couple of years ago)? <doh>
Or being made to play on a Saturday away from home after youd played aeay in Spain just 36hrs earlier..like we had to v you a few years back?
Or like not having a player sent off for a leg breaking tackle who then scream abuse at a ref for 3 or 4 minutes
    still aint sent ? <doh>

Do you seriously think you have been unlucky against us?

To be honest I thought it was a blatent pen on frank lampard in the first half. Shocked he didnt complain more. The other one was never a pen in my view.

But spuds got out of jail today by not being pinged for that pen in the first half. That would of changed the game and made spuds doubt themselves and given chelsea a boost.

That is how I saw it anyway as an impartial viewer. Very lucky spuds were today.

Arsenal4life's about as impartial as you are, DL.
    Possibly less so, in fact.
He's venting on this article because of the presence of Spurs fans and his inability to do it directly.

venting? Did you even read what I wrote? It was a pen on lampard. Gallas didnt get the ball and impeded his kick

    1. Gomes should have been sent off for foul on Ramires last season, only reason he wasn't is because you'd used all 3 subs and it was last minute. Keeper that shouldn't have been on the pitch saved pen plus encroaching by Spurs players
    2. Kaboul should have been off + Red card for Kaboul for denying clear goalscoring opportunity.
    3. Penalty incorrectly given against JT for handball in 09/10
    4. Terry given a red card (two yellows) for his only two fouls in the game
    5. Two enforced subs at WHL via injury in first 30 mins allowing us to make only 1 sub in 2nd half. Ferreira and Bosingwa on right side of our defence for an hour
    6. Offside goal given against us in 10/11 at WHL

And this is only from about the last 2/3 seasons, I could go on
    <ok>

The fact that we won't finish in the top 4 has nothing to do with today's result. The reason we won't qualify for the CL is because two thirds of this season has been spent in turmoil with a manager who was not up to the job.
By the time RDM took over it was too late to do anything about it. We had dropped far too many points by then. The players ,with their attitudes earlier in the season, have to look at themselves and realise just what they have cost us this season. Also, I'm afraid RA screwed up royally by sacking Carlo and appointing a manager who was far too inexperienced for the job.
