    Its not optimism, its delusion.

We have to score more goals than the other team has shots on goal in order to win, its not going to happen.

Not too much I wouldn't think. Whether they win or lose they still get paid.

Sadly facts are..we just aint good enough.....
it has nothing to do with luck, tarrabt, faurs, the ref, the way the wind is blowing or the alignment of the planets....

for the life of me i just cant understand why we can't see that....!

We prob ly shouldnt have got promoted last season, because as a club, we werent ready for it...

I posted last season that I'd be VERY happy if we managed to secure 17th spot; and almost got my head bitten off.........well.....what do we think now "?!!

If we stay up, it's a f**king miracle. There's NO way we will be able to survive with the way we defend. It's disgraceful.

Well on a positive note, more games to watch, more teams to play on a level playing field, cheaper tickets, easier to get tickets and more chance of winning games, real football fans, real football like we loved last season and who knows a promotion push. Come on you Rs. Roll on Barnsley at home on the 8th August.

Indeed, with the ground capacity we have the chances of us staying up were slight. Will be glad to be back in the Championship which for all its faults is marginally less fixed than the Premiership.

I think with Cisse out for 3 or 4 games, our hope pretty much evaporates. He misses WBA and Swansea. I have said before that it is wrong to say we are down until it is a mathematical certainty but this is now probably too big an ask for this team.

Having said that, one does just wonder whether the goal difference may still play a part here!

Onwards and upwards, or even downwards, we are QPR and Rangers til we die!!!

We have to be thinking in terms of next season now - Sparky has to strip the team down and start again - each game now, the team are fighting for a place for next season

Get rid of the high earners, I wanted to keep Cisse but not if he keeps up this stupidity. If we can shed them and replace them with the right type of player, we will be better off in the long term but only if we come up in the next couple of seasons.

No Kenny, Zamora, Cisse, Barton, SWP (and all the other crap not in the 25) and build a young team that will stay together for years. No more mercenaries.

I dont really care if Hughes stays or not but I wont shed a tear if he leaves. I just hope theres a good young manager around if he does.

Wow, ive never seen so much negative talk from so called supporters, did you really think one win would suddenly turn around whats been a poor season? I bet if we had lost to Liverpool and beat Sunderland today you would all be shouting about how we are staying up now!! If the team ever needed the fans to get behind them its now and i swear to God Flyer is either Radek Cerny's mum or Kenny's been knocking about with his wife, talk about a broken record. Sunderland have been strong at home and it was always a big ask to go there and get a result, ffs get behind the team for once instead of jumping on their backs. I'll support the team whatever league we are in!!

I would actually keep Kenny for the NPC. He proved he is class in that league - the PL is probably a step to far for him.

Laughable how NW thought he was in the top 6 keepers in the PL.

I agree a good young team is what is needed, mixed with a few older, experienced heads. The team will give it its best over the remaining games and I'll be supporting the players 100% as I have all season. But Tony and Amit need to be looking ahead at what is realistic. If, as seems likely, we go down to the Championship, their responsibility is to see that we use parachute payments well and thrive in the competitive but less challenging environment, not sink like a stone as some clubs have.

At least we haven't got the Goons now to f*uck up the off-season planning.
