Nothing we didn't know already but he's writing this for an audience outside of the west of Scotland who have no real idea what Scottish sports journalism is really like.

In many ways it's good to see a respected journalist say it. You can't accuse him of paranoia.

Alex Thomson's latest blog reveals that in his time in Glasgow investigating Rangers he has been helped by many journalists, but also physically threatened by at least one!!

I wonder who it could be......and if he will still be on the Radio Scotland phone-in tonight

That is what amazes me. They are congratulating themselves on a good job, well done.

One hack was on the radio saying that nobody was aware of Whytey's past. Nobody was asking questions. Nobody was phoning up the call ins to complain......I could not believe my ears.

    A) He is a journalist. It is his job to dig. His job to find the story
    2) Nobody was asking questions. Bullshit. Utter bullshit. I read a piece about Whyte by a Celtic supporter the very day he took over. If i could be arsed, I'd find it. I also know for 100% fact that a certain marginalised journalist was researching one of the potential buyers of the club around 4 years ago.

Huns take the piss that we know so much about their plight, well given that no **** is doing their job properly, it is no wonder that we pick up the slack. They are, by and large, happy to sit on their hands and wait to be spoon fed ****e.

It appears the post doesn't suit Tarquin Biscuit Barrell. It doesn't surprise me as the truth rarely does.

It will be nice for the Rangers fans to have Craig Whyte back for the Rangers / Celtic match tomorrow. As a lifelong Rangers fan
he could not bear to miss it and anywhere we were told he would be back in about 3 weeks. His time has come. I wonder will
he be sitting waving one of the forged copies of the the Union flag that crazy people are selling at the home of bigotry tomorrow.

    Exactly.

Whyte first expressed interest in November 2010 and eventually took over in May 2011. That means journalists had SEVEN months to investigate Whyte.

This was a huge opportunity for any journalist who was willing to put the effort in. If they could even prove half of the rumours true (and that wouldn't have been difficult) they would have had a helluva a story on their hands. They would have got a lot of plaudits, offers of TV and radio work and probably even a book deal.

But not one Scottish-based journalist thought to do anything like that?

I find that incredibly unlikely. So why did no journalist look into his past and why were the Scottish press still describing him as a billionnaire and life-long Rangers fan long after he took over?

    The whole thing stinks.

    I wrote this in january.

You know who didn't break the 2 contract story.....I'll give you a clue. It rhymes with Barrel Spring.

If I was editor of the Sun, I'd have sacked him on the spot for missing such a ****ing obvious scoop. Whether that was down to a love of lamb, or utter incompetence...well it doesn't matter really.

i am sure most of you can cite other examples of it, just this one is the one that immediately sprang to mind.

    Tarquin.

I think your lot has lost the right to call yourselves the queen's eleven along time ago. If you had anything to do with the
queen, you wouldn't have turned your back-sides towards her and not paid the lot of millions due to her. I cannot imagine
your lot insulting her more by trying to sing that old bigoted chant gstq.

Money paid to HMRC doesn't actually go to the queen, super. You shouldn't take things so literally.

Ye canny be serious. That article is so laden with "insider" attitudes and memes it's either farcical nonsense or a really good joke. Either way, it's funny.

O God! Tarquin, Imagine who would have thought. The next thing you will tell me it doesn't go to fed poor little children or go
to providing the correct protective clothing for your troops fighting in wars far away. Tell me smart Tarquin,o do you think when
them Rangers fans slur God save the queen, does she appreciate it or does she say not that old mob again.

I can only think of something deeply and perplexingly racist, I'm afraid, and I'm not prepared to go down that route. So you win. I'll just need to go back to my first guess: Carole Ching. (I still feel I'm in with a right good chance of the prize, though.)
