Bitter bluebirds jealous of the fact we are Premier league and they are not. Even the Cardiff centred media are spewing that Swansea made it there before Cardiff. BBC wales, HTV wales, western mail etc etc were all geared up to push the city of Cardiff and promote the city from an economic point of view, everything was in place, the council were looking to cash in on their investment and gain from the massive exposure prem football brings...and Swansea city beat them to the punch ! ...... No matter what Cardiff folk might say they are to a man/woman absolutly spewing that we are there and they are not, if you read comments on CCFC message boards they still think they have a god given right to be a premier club!! the arrogance is quite unbeleivable. Make no mistake if they got there before us our boards would be swamped(no pun intended) with bloobs every minute of every day, they have had a very soft ride IMO we havent gloated half as much as we should ! But there is a bigger picture to all of this and its something that people east of swansea are more aware of . The BBC wales and other media still try to de rail our fine city,they still try to dull it down . I watched a program the other night about homeless people in swansea(none of the homeless were actually from swansea) like there arnt homeless people anywhere else in wales eh?? this following on from Swansea love story another media spot light focusing on problems that happen in EVERY city in the UK !! All when we are running a campaign trying to attract people to visit our city while riding the premier league publicity machine, its no coincidence guys, i see it all being on the outside looking in, from the people of Cardiff voting against having an assembly (then of course getting it) to the same assembly giving OUR money to have another party/celebration IN cardiff for the welsh rugby team (thus giving yet another boost for local traders) to the proposed non electrification of the rail from cardiff - swansea to medical specialists being relocated from swansea to cardiff, all these things are a way of centralising power/control and money into that city. The premier league dream was integral for Cardiff for globel exposure, the massive investment is now in need of furthur cash injection and the short term financial boost gained by the city's facelift needs fresh money to help it prosper, cue premier league football!! Dont be fooled, every minute we kick a premier league football we are making a massive amount of people very jealous!! fans included. We start to see what media neglect we have had down here, i talked to the girl from TV Japan at one game(very beautiful girl!) and she was so impressed by swansea and saying how we are building up a following in Japan and how amazing the story of our success was, there are many other countries now following Swansea and looking at the Gower and realising that there is actually more than one place in Wales, these people have only ever been sold one vision (cardiff) so to see them suprised that there is a more beautiful option on and off the field fills me with pride and Cardiff with Envy. Swansea city upset the dreams of many people, they wernt from Reading,Nottingham forest or anywhere else they were from Cardiff! From your claarks pie seller to the smelly Daily Echo Seller to Buisness and Welsh Assembly members every premier league game we play is enhancing our wonderful football team and wonderful beautiful city and surrounding areas, it has made our Hotels for the first time out sell Cardiff Hotels it is growing our city in the eyes of the world media and every step of the way it makes them more and more Jealous Dont let the Cardiff central media ever grind us down, they have tried and failed for years they continue to try..they continue to fail!! Their fans continue to watch and continue to be bewildered by our progress, some are happy and respectful to us,most of them though absolutly hate the fact we are premier league they are not.....it is as we say, Killing them
Best post I've read in a long time Norway. With that BBC Wales programme you've hit the nail on the head. Anything to do the city a disservice, the timing is unbelievable and as you rightly say our Worldwide exposure is killing them.

sorry i couldnt reply earlier, i wasnt ignoring you all, i just had some work to do. DPJ sums up my view of the league quite well, as for pundits who said the PL is worse, then i cant think of names and shows off the top of my head, but alan hansen said 2 weeks ago that man united were having a pretty average season yet they are top of the pack, that is an implied criticism over the other teams in the league. sky's sunday supplement were saying how the defensive standards of the league has gone down. before you say 'they are jounos they know nothing' well last week they were saying how well swansea were doing so presumably that means they do according to you? cracker, you say these pundits dont know anything but they're correct when they praise your team are they? contradiction as for my comments, when i see swansea play, i often give my thoughts on here, and i call it how i see it. witness this post i made after the swansea fulham game last week. http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...ame-Discuss!?p=2481775&viewfull=1#post2481775

According to many , many neutral fans .... the premier league is getting better & we're a big part of the reason . Can't begin to express how that makes me feel to hear over & over & over from fans everywhere . The team is truly blessed !
The Premier League is no worse now than in years gone past. The only difference is that Barcelona and Real Madrid (and Swansea) are re-writing the history books with the type of football they're playing, which makes the 'physical' football that has been played over here for years look a bit ****.
We'll have to take your word for it then.......... Man United were champions league runners up last year. If it wasn't for probably the best club team ever in the history of the world, they'd have won it. How can they suddenly be so poor when they're the same team, with their top striker on his best form? The Premier League this year is the most competitive it's ever been.
Well you could argue that it's 'better' because it's more competitive. I think that's largely down to the top teams losing some of their best players, or their best players aging. No more Ronaldo as of a couple of years now (United also been hit extremely badly with injuries). Arsenal are down Fabregas and Nasri. Chelsea players are just old and can't keep up with other teams any more. Man City are the only ones to really strengthen in the last couple of years. So I'd say it's better - but weaker overall. I guess in the same way that I think the championship is a brilliant league.
Just watched the first half of the Chelsea vs Spurs game , you might be on to something passive , worst half of football I seen this season
ronaldo and fabregas may have left, but now we have suarez,silva,yaya,aguero,van de vaart etc stars leave and new ones arrive all the time
cracker, i refer to the post you made above ^^ take my word for it, it was said on MOTD two or three weeks ago i believe. its utterly ludicrous to compare the man u of last season with the one of this. this season they have pretty much a developement defence and goalkeeper, the most important position to have experience. a defence with evans jones smalling evra and de gea is good, but a world apart from people like vidic, van der sar etc. midfield they are weak, scholes has come out of retirement such is the need for CMs. the league is so competitive as arsenal, united, chelsea and arguably liverpool are worse than even last season for a start.
Pundits are pundits , they say whatever they want was all I said & how people quote them . . Didn't say anything in my post about what they said about us , but you'd have everyone believe I did .
