Nice work from Schumacher today. I'm still holding my breath with regard to the Mercedes race pace, but for now I'm suitably impressed.
It's bloody tight, Raikkonen and Webber set identical times. Rosberg is gonna get a reputation as a bottler, two qualis in a row he's stuffed it at the vital moment, they had the quickest car today in my opinion and he only managed eighth. I'm hoping Vettel gets on better with the options in race conditions, Hembery said they were 4-7/10ths quicker than the primes so it's weird that Seb's getting on better with the primes.
Well Vettel himself said if was not strategy it was just that he was faster on the primes than on the options.
interesting he says that, considering the options are meant to be 1 sec. faster per lap than the primes. if he truly is (and he might be, dont think anyone else could've gotten near him on the primes), then he will have a great race, as the primes dont wear as much and he will wreck the other teams during his longer, faster stints on the primes.
I think it is more likely that he is just struggling on the options rather than been especially quick on the primes.
Anyone think Hamilton and Rosberg could be compromised in the race by the big lockups they had in qualifying?
