Much Sympathy to you TigerCity. Yes my father was a fan from 1947 upto BP closing but hated the KC after the first match. He became an armchair fann from then on but sadly died the season before we got promoted. He always said that he would never see City in the top flight. Sadly he was right. All the best to you and your family on your sad loss. R.I.P.

Sorry to hear that, my Dad who would have gone to his first game around the same time, sadly passed away just over three years ago and he is the reason I am a tigers supporter. He was around to see us get to the top flight but unfortunately wasn't well enough to go to games.

Best wishes to you and your family at this sad time.

Condolences and may he Rest In Peace. I know where you are right now as I lost mine in 2010. He was a big Huddersfield Town fan so I must be a very select few Leeds fans who have a soft spot for them!

It leaves a big hole in your life but it does get easier, albeit very slowly............

I've only ever seen my dad cry three times: at both his parents' funerals and the day City got promoted at Wembley. Sharing my love for City with my old man and brother is one of the best things in my life. You have my utmost sympathy and I hope that over time you can look back with happy memories on your shared love of football and the tigers together.
