    Run-In Round 1

    QPR 3 Liverpool 2
    Blackburn 2 Sunderland 0
    Aston Villa v Bolton (postponed)

Where did the points go in Round 1?

    Blackburn 3 points (P16 - 28pts)
    QPR 3 points (P17 - 25 pts)

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Run-In Round 2

    Sunderland v QPR
    Bolton v Blackburn
    Norwich v Wolves
    Liverpool v Wigan

Where are the points going in Round 2?

No ‘easy’ games for any of us in this round. Ominously, Wigan are the ‘form’ side in the bottom five (4 draws, a win and a loss in their last six). Hopefully we've wound Liverpool up enough to roast 'em - but we'll see.

Another curiosity is that any result between the two Bs should be good for us - especially if we could nick something at Sunderland...

As for Wolves, you'd expect a Norwich win but they've been faltering a bit lately and it'll be just our luck that Wolves come away with the points. Brace yourselves!

Over to you. How d'you think it'll go?

Yes please, though I'd be happy with a point at Sunderland

Like TIMK and Bill's forecasts best (obviously)...

Not to put the mockers on it (we never get anywhere without my having to adopt reverse psychology!) but needed to check a version of a realistic nightmare scenario:

    Sunderland 2 QPR 0
    Bolton 2 Blackburn 1
    Norwich 1 Wolves 3
    Liverpool 0 Wigan 0

    16) Blackburn (28)
    17) Bolton (26) +1 game in hand
    -------------------
    18) QPR (25)
    19) Wolves (25)
    20) Wigan (23)

(Borrowed yer table - ta Bill!)

Even that doesn't look tooooo bad does it? Until you consider we've got in-form Arsenal next!

It looks horrible to me Brix! Says we need 3 points against Sunderland definite, with Arsenal (and us without Traore to take on Walcott probably) and Man U to come.

Too true Oz. Just didn't want to see us counting our chickens and having to face more disappointment without due prep. Praying just as hard as you mate... God's in-tray must get pretty congested this time of year!!

Take it from me, I've seen a lot of them, Bill's predictions are always best. If only they came true more often.

Just about everyone has predicted Norwich hammering Wolves. They should, but I have a horrible feeling about that one. Norwich (have I mentioned that I ****ing hate them?) are looking a shadow of their former selves now they've reached relative safety and Wolves are desperate. On paper you would think that both Wolves and wigan will get beaten, but Liverpool are dodgy at home and Norwich always let me down!!
