Is KENNY good enough to manage a great club like ours?

    Let's do it <ok>

Basically I will head to NY/NJ, Chicago, St. Louis, Texas, California for the main crop <ok>

He left valencia because what was it " I wasked for a table/couch and they gave me a lamp?" something like that. He didn't like having his hands not in control.

Purchase of Carroll was a panic buying;the proceed from the sale of Torress should have been kept in the bank and spent during last summer.<ok>

  4. He didn't have greater power when he joined, he gained more power after proving him self at the club (helped by Parry proving to be incapable). All three clubs had structures in place when he joined and none allowed Rafa to have control. Kenny actually gets more of a say now since he tells Comolli the sort of players he wants, Comolli does the work and presents Kenny with player options. Kenny accepts or/and rejects them. This means Kenny does not have to research lots of different players and then try to convince the board.

Just for the record, I am not a Comolli fan, I just don't see why people make him the scape goat.

That was a case of him asking for something but being something completely different, nothing to do with having control and everything to do with not having a say at all. That is not a situation he would face at Liverpool right now! (see last comment)

Wheres your evidence that DC gets told by Kenny who to buy?,surely thats the club secretary's job.

We aint gonna agree <laugh>,but i'll leave you with this, how many times has Dalglish been spotted out and about at games looking at prospective signings?,in the main its DC that seen, which would mean Dalglish goes off DC's reports and recommendations.

Not sure where the debate started (debate on the forum? hooray!) but I think that DC would get the axe and be made the scapegoat before Kenny was looked at, due to the status and all of that.

  9. The evidence is in the interviews given by Henry, Werner, Ayre, Comolli and Kenny himself. Obviously, the final say is down to the owners as it is their money that is being spent but they will not spend any money on a player that Kenny or Comolli does not agree with. Comolli compiles a list of players that he and his scouts think are appropriate and Kenny says yes or no. Then it is up to the owners (like with all clubs) as to whether they spend the money.

    And I agree, we won't agree <ok>

carl... honestly... i called you a moron. you've a prefect right to say what yuo think, no problem.. i've an equal right to say what i think.

noble calls me all sorts on here and i accept it cos i don't agree with him.

I might agree with you on something else but on this i think that even repeating the thought that after what kenny's done and saying what you think is just waht i said. the thought is simply laughable to me that we are not all saying its stupid.

No you do NOT have the right to call me a moron. I respect other people's points of view even if they are different to mine especially if they are well argued. I do not call them morons.

Just because I do not subscribe to your point of view does not mean I have to be abused by the likes of you.

You've just confirmed that in your opinion Kenny only has a say on DC's choices so therefore has no say in the target's.

And as i've said imo Kenny should be making the list of target's and giving it to the owners for approval and DC should have the biro to sign the new players contracts.

    <whistle>

    Laters lads.

Moneywise we are not doing as bad as i thought with the article stating a net spend of £37m. We have improved our squad since last January and genuinely believe we need just another £50m to sign 2 players of real quality(ST,CM). I think the main question is whether we (the board really) trust Dalglish and Commoli with the cash to sign quality? And also if NESV are happy to invest so significantly in the club again? Maybe they should be told this is our last chance to spend big before the New Uefa rules come into action- otherwise we may be stuck in 5th,6th even 7th place for the foreseeable future

Imagine what the fans would've said if we had a £30m profit from that window? "Another set of **** Yanks" "No different to H&G" etc. They needed to spend it for the good PR and to get into the fans good books, so they could carry on with work behind the scenes quietly and without the distraction of negative headlines/fan protests.
