You forgot about poaching conway as well , although with hindsight he may have done us a favour.

    1. We paid £200k for Buckley and got £1m for him, thats a profit of £800k. Good business if you ask me

    2. Malky didn't rate Buckley, thats why he was always on the bench with Deeney starting on the wing

    3. Buckley got 3 goals and 4 assists last season, thats rubbish. Look at Sean Murray in the same position, 4 goals and 4 assists in 9 apperances, pi$$es all over what Buckley did for us.

If he knew he was going would have been nice if SD got to make the call ( may he did who knows) Agree about Murray , also hoping for good things from Britt and several others

I think Buckley wanted to leave regardless TBH. And looking at how well he has done for Brighton this season Im sure he's glad he did leave, good decision on his behalf that, plus good for us in terms of money, win win situation.

    Brilliantly said NZ

    Completely agree Leonardo :)

Yay Al! Come home quick, we miss you! Well, i do, can't speak for anyone else lol. Hope you've had a fab time! mmwah!

    Night night Ak :)

This i definitely agree with :) As for some of your other points Mitch, though you're right, one thing i really do think is that MM tapped up Conway and Don and told them not to bother signing with Watford, with a promise of better things. I might be completely wrong...just call it female intuition. I think i'm right (but then, i would ;) )

Morning all from a bright & sunny West West London after a very foggy start in Bandit Country...I can't wait to drive home with all those dicks leaving their fog lights on for the next 2 weeks <grr>

Really looking forward to tomorrow - will need to get the numbers for Brighton together tomorrow and order the tickets. Better keep an eye out for when the Posh tickets go on sale as we won't get many...

W-y until you have driven in Norway;)<yikes> I will never criticise UK road users again, the difference in competence levels is astounding! especially in Rogaland ,which is unfortunately where I am:(

This is if and buts. But if MM had stayed would DC have done as well? Perhaps we would have contracted some of the other palyers who have arrived in Cardiff, Jon Parkin or Craig Conway for example not either has been a big success.

I know when a manager leaves a club they will return to try and take players or others with them. The number from the coaching staff when MM went was a lot by any count. Did not three coaching people go to Reading, and then there was Jobi McAnuff who went and Tommy Smith who nearly did as well after BR left. That seems an average but did MM not take seven not including DC and how many players were linked strongly with moving to Watford who have arrived in Cardiff. MM even tried for SD.

All this for me raises the question of who is it that makes a football club?

    The players
    The manager
    The club staff
    The owner
    The board
    The supporters

The only true loyalty is from supporters....

and yet we expect it from all the rest...

of course players, manager, club staff, owner, the board can be supporters too... and that is a real bonus...

Well, the keys have been handed in now just a 4 hour wait for the coach to the airport:( I hate hanging around at the end of a holiday, would much rather get up, have breakfast then go;) but alas that is not the way! Anyway a bit of lunch and relax will have to do instead!

That is the worse part of a holiday PSH. It can be much worse holidaying in the Eastern Med - we have been picked up at 1.00 am in the morning after handing the keys in at lunchtime in Cyprus.....<grr>

Still a lovely day in West West London but I am stuck here until 16.00 as I am interviewing this afternoon and there is a beer garden with my name on it! <grr>

Good point about the Posh tickets, esp as it's the last away game of the season. Are we still having it as a Nest meet-up for those who can make it? Also, we have the rarity of choosing whether we sit or stand.

Yes because he was out of contract and had already turned down a new improved contract offer by Watford.
