That is true. Im hoping that Barton would score a winner in some of our matches that we have left. That just because it would be intresting to read comments of some of our posters.

I agree with your sentiments mate, but there were more than "a few plastics" booing Barton. There were literally thousands booing him and virtually the entire ground applauded when his number came up. I don't approve of booing our own players and I didn't boo yesterday, but I did clap when he was substituted. Would MH have taken him off if the crowd hadn't been giving him such a hard time?

It wasn't 'plastics' booing Barton, no way.

Problem is, he is no longer that player! Since he has re-invented himself, he has lost the aggression in his game and without that he's a very, very average player!! When he signed he came with the reputation that you describe....but we haven't seen it!
The worst thing last night was when Barton sent an attempted cross into the upper loft and then spent the next 30seconds laughing about it. Laughing Joey? Really? **** off!!

Then it is sparkys task to tell him ,that if Barton wants to be in his plans Barton should start to play way he is familiar with.

I was in the loft, it was everyone and that includes the people who are normally quiet.

Sorry but Joey for me has not perfromed since the away game at Wolves in 2011, he should not be allowed anywhere near dead-ball situations, he has had so many opportunities to put a decent cross/corner in and he just doesn´t have the technical ability, for the captaincy, well the first thing a leader should recognise is the environment around him and his co-workers, Joey does not consider ´his troops´ and how they are feeling - you lose the troops and you will eventually suffer but he is just blind to those around him. He should not be captain.

I will be interested to see if the positive effect of Barton´s substitution and SWP´s exclusion will pick MH´s team for him.

Joey you only have yourself to blame.

Joey thinks the role of captain is to shake hands at the start of a match. Its not, its to keep their heads up and motivated even if were losing. Its to set an example to the others (well you could argue hes done that but not in a good way).

Even Adel is a better choice of captain, as is Derry, Hill, Mackie and even someone like Cisse who has the eagerness of a man 10 years younger.

Are we going to end up with a Pierre van Hooijdonk (had to check the spelling!) situation where Barton is shunned by the team and fans? If he keeps going on about how fans should stop booing him and get behind the team there will be enough of us with our backs up to keep slating him during matches.

Also if he can't stop slagging off the likes of Adel during games he'd best learn to keep his trap shut.

How toxic is Barton? If we let him go then where would he go and how far down the leagues would he drop if no other Premiership team wanted him? How long would it take him to accept he is not as good as he thinks he is and his attitude will see him out of a job?

Football is a fickle thing and if he scores a couple of vital winning goals which could keep us up I reckon most would forget the boos and start cheering him again.

How toxic is Barton? look at Newcastle since he left. Ideally Id love for him to be run out of club but he will never accept hes not good enough.

Whilst I agree that he has not had a 'good' game for a while, he usually puts in a shift and for that I can forgive the odd mistake. I do believe he has talent that has yet to be seen at Loftus Rd, whether it will or not is another matter. For me personally, I do not agree with booing one of your own players (captain at that) when you are in a relegation dog fight. Very stupid actions in my opinion. Yes he played crap, he got subbed, we won. These decisions are made by the manager and the manager generally held accountable for results. The manager should be making the tough decisions about who plays/gets subbed and we should support those decisions. Amazes me that people cant just get behind the whole club, no matter what. I know many will disagree with most of this and I really can sympathise when JB comes online and spouts out plenty of crap, then barely turns up for 90mins (which he is paid for), but I will still cheer on the whole team that comes out onto the pitch.

The only time I will cheer Barton is when he leaves the club.

The only way the club will unite is to get rid of him, I think thats plain to see.

Firstly col, wasnt arguing...was just giving my opinion.

Secondly, you missed my point. I was saying that no matter what, I will still cheer on the eleven players on the pitch and not boo any of them, even if one of them is a tw@t off the pitch and not playing well.

Anywho...JB is subject done to death and one that clearly wont go away until he either improves performances or leaves the club, lets wait and see which ;)

It's not just on the pitch though is it? Many, many fans now seem to believe that Barton is a bad influence in the dressing room. Right or not.........this belief isn't going to go away.
I don't want to hear him booed again, as that gives the opposition a huge boost, but I can understand why it happened on Wed.
Anyway, as you say...it's been done to death.
Let's all get behind the team and pray we get out of this mess eh?

a captains job is to lead by example and motivate of which he has done very little of most of the season, fair play for admitting he was poop but i would take the armband off him.either clint hill or cisse in my opinion should lead the team.iv'e given barton a fair bit of stick this season and if he stopped trying to be plato on twitter and got on with the football we would have a vastly better player on our hands.

Hello big boy nice to see you here! I agree with you and one problem would be solved if Barton would do that.
