Wow, to be placed in the same sentence as Flavio...now there's something I never thought I'd achieve! Mchael Bolton has a lot to answer for Cosi...
He should be on everyone's list. He's wanted by the ICC for crimes against hair and music. Curiously, Gaga is his no.1 fan.
Quote from F1Fanatic: Sebastian Vettel completed the top ten. But the world champions was unhappy with the RB8, telling the team: “The car is all over the place – poor balance,” during the session.
I don't know; I didn't hear it. But it looks like an Alonso comment to me. Aha. I take it back! Thanks Legend. I think you're correct; "All in all…" is a typically Vettel way of beginning a sentence.
My thoughts exactly. I wasn't aware that Red Bull expected tyre and balance problems before this weekend.
They have been trying different exhaust characteristics again. I think Vettel reverted back to the exhaust spec used in last two days in testing. Plus take into account Malaysia is harder on tyres.
Just an observation that I've just noticed on the BBC; Benson always begins his rants about Haimlton with "The 2008 champion".
"All in all…" is a typically Vettel way of beginning a sentence. They usualy end 30mins after they needed to as well. Interviewer-"So Seb, how was your ice cream?" Seb-"It reminded me of when I was five, and i used to dream of driving around the nurburgring, but my mother saidi couldn't, especially wearing my mickey mouse ears, but then one day i met a squirrel in the woods....... 10minutes later.... ........... but then on my 21st birthday I was allowed vanilla."
True, but Vettel's tyre management in Australia was on par with the McLaren drivers'. I think you're right about the exhaust, tbh. Somebody tweeted that (IIRC) the inside tyre walls of Webber's rears were very scruffy after a run. So these expected problems could be those that that scorched the car in testing.
True. It could also be Webber's driving style, coupled with running too much camber for extra stability in high speed corners. It is so unusual to see Red Bull clutching at straws like this. Does anyone know what Vettel's tyres were like?
It only gets worse for Vettel; according to Sky he has been fined 400 euros for speeding in the pit lane (1.1km/h above the 60km/h speed limit)
