All I remember of Luis Garcia's spell with us was the constant flak he was getting for inconsistency.

Garcia was inconsistent but he was unpredictable and could do some amazing things. I won't criticise a player for having the confidence to try different things over and over again. It showed his self belief which every player needs.

  3. Can you imagine the unpredictablity of a side contaning Luis Suarez and Luis Garcia...?

I think a lot of people won't have much hair or many nails left!

It can be infuriating to watch at times but these are the players who can do something special and win a game out of nothing. Players like Gerrard, Torres, Suarez etc are able to create just half a yard from a defender and do something with it.

I think our current team is just full of functional players who do a certain job and that's it. Only Suarez can provide that spark for us (Gerrard is playing more of a conservative role now whilst Bellamy does not play enough).

I agree. My point was more about the fickle nature of us fans. I remember watching the games with people who were constantly on his back for not doing the simple things, only to shout "genius" when something extravagant came off.

  10. That is not even my favourite moment of that match, that goes to the Sami Hyypia left footed volley goal! There are so many points that stands out from that Champions League campaign...Gerrards last minute screamer against Olympiaikos, the two against Juventus, the phantom Chelsea goal, half-time in istanbul, Gerrard's header in the final, Gerrard encouraging the crowd, Alonso's pen, the double save, Dudeks heroics in the shootout, champagne and dancing on pools tables, the bus parade....

without doubt, my favourite ever season!

There is a huge difference between caring and blowing things out of proportion for the sake of a moan. I didn't watch the game and think "Oh well, we lost again... no biggy," but neither did I feel the need to dash any sort of positives that we've had this season.

Some people need to get it all into perspective.

How do we lose a match after being 2-0 up and against QPR of all teams? Something is dreadfully wrong. Would Mourinho, Benitez, Wenger or any top manager have lost? Doubt it. I am fed up of people saying things are better. They are not and the Carling Cup is not going to keep us happy for long.

We care because if we don't we're just going to be resigned to accepting ****.

And **** is all we're gonna get.

It is an embarrassment, no two ways about it.

With regard to last night, had we played badly and lost 1-0 away I would've had a moan, but I would've said OK we lost to the better team. It's the way we lost that annoys me the most. FFS we were 2-0 up away from home and we blew it big time.

The fact is in the majority of our matches we have been the better team but we've pissed around hitting the woodwork, dropping points and so on.

Carroll was a panic buy when Torres pissed off. That is a fact whether we like it or not.

The other fact is this: you can't blow things out of proportion when they're already blown. We've been this bad since Lucas got injured.

For the sake of a moan: are you resigned to us being this **** and you've decided what's the point in moaning? That's lethargy.

Most people accept we're **** because they believe we're in transition. Fair enough. But what about if this is actually as good as we're going to get? We've been like this for the past 3 years, what's to say we won't be like this for years to come and this is just what we are now, a has-been team? For that reason I don't judge things based on the long-term, IMHO Kenny finished well last season well, invested **** loads in te summer, and now we've been awful this season. No excuses, no transition ****e.

I agree with some of what you have said mate, but dont get too down.

We are pretty poor currently but thats not to say things won't change.

Don't forget we are owned by a successful business franchise. For them to make money they need us to win and be in the Champs.

They wouldn't of pumped millions in for no return, and they got no choice not to keep doing so if they want that profit.

All about the brand and selling abroad.

I'm not happy. But there is no need to assume/speculate we will never get better. Not much we can do either!
