Scored 2 goals last night adding to the 2 he scored on Saturday. Currently on 16 goals for the season and the 2nd highest goalscorer in the Championship, despite the fact for half of the games (17/35 appearances) he's been used as a sub. please log in to view this image He will be 39 this July - what a talent!
He is simply a god infront of goal. I wish we kept him when we went down..I personally think his career would have been better. I would take him back as well, we need a poacher badly!
Even at this stage of his career he is a magnificent "impact" player. Wonder if he is taking his coaches badge?
A few of us said at the start of the season that he would be a good supersub type player and, as said we are in need of his type of player a forward who can score. Not saying we would be any better with him but, think we would have had a few more points on the board.
We were very very blessed to have had SKP in his prime. You will tell your grandchildren about SKP in years to come, in the way that my Grandad spoke about Raich and Shack.
A class act, when he's done playing someone is going to have a very good striker coach if that's what he fancies doing. He'd keep a Wolves or a wigan in the prem if he was there, Wigan in there last two games have created chance after chance but drawn two, he'd have them four points better off just in those two games
He will be an all time legend at SAFC, and I have a feeling we will see him back up here in some capacity or other in the future, when he finally decides to hang up his boots..
The guy is a legend and one of the best footballers I have ever seen live. When you think that he was released from Southampton and came from Baldock town to score 30 premier league goals in a season for a club that was not in the top 4 and had just been promoted makes you realise how good this guy is. Should have been given more caps for England IMO.
wish we had signed him on a year's contract this term just to end on a high here, he definitely would have more of an impact than ji or wickham, and by the way warm pouch, go drown yourself in cat's piss
A Legend and possibly the best ever to play for the Lads in my time watching. Wish we could find another like him ! I recall one game at Bradford when he got a hat-trick, missed a penalty and in response to the abuse from the Bradford fans ours were singing "3 goals - he's only scored 3 goals" ! Classic !
It's time like these I miss Big Chris. He would've come on and said it was a different Kevin Phillips.
