I think my +/- bet on Kovalainen finishing ahead of Karthikeyan is looking pretty safe. It's early, but I don't think that HRT are going to qualify again.
I don't normally check twitter, but they were talking about it on five live so I had a look. You can really tell it's the middle of the night in the UK. Trending in the UK is Bottas, Malaysia, Sepang, Mclaren and HRT. Thats the only time HRT will see themselves in the top 10 this season.
I'd start with the car. I think they may have missed a trick on how others are using the airflow over the exhaust. Looks like they have catch up to do.... I'm sure they can turn this car around though.
From ESPN: 11:25 Confirmation that there is an oil leak on Button's car and the KERS battery have been removed too.
Quite possibly. It's easy to deflect attention towards Massa, but him not being as good as Alonso isn't the reason for them consistently producing the third/fourth/fifth best car.
Unless your name's David Croft you can tell them apart quite easily. The mediums' white branding is vivid like the softs and supersofts whereas the hard tyres' grey branding almost disappears.
Alonso's only seven hundredths behind Hamilton so all Ferrari need to do is fit a new set of options every lap and they can take the fight to McLaren.
Why does err 'Crofty' (as he likes to err call himself), put so many "err"s into his err sentences? It's almost as if he's pretending to be both err busy and laid back at the same time, AS WELL. He seems to have a number of other err peculiar affectations too, AS WELL.
As for the action, watch out for a fast Mercedes or two during Practice and Quali. That said, I've finally voted in this poll for predicting a winner: Button; who's smoothness will, I expect, make a telling difference in the end.
Sportlemon.tv streams the Setanta feed, which uses the R5Live commentary, although you could of course just pick that up from bbc.co.uk. Sportlemon is slightly better video quality, too. There's certainly nothing between the main Mercedes-engined teams on a single lap and this might mean they're confident that they're in control of tyre degradation for the race because Rosberg indicated they would compromise qualifying pace to protect the tyres. Hamilton looks very strong today but, yeah - tyre management and weather may just favour Button come Sunday. Vettel should also benefit but his car doesn't look spectacular here.
Kravitz can't tell left from right talking about the fuel hose on the McLaren? Same in FP1 about Grosjeans right rear tyre..
