Now before I say anything I'd like to state two things:

I know the Metro is becoming one of the biggest bullshitters out there
And I know that £40 million is a hell of a lot, but here me out.

They are stating that we have enquired about Gervinho and Sow from Lille. They are saying they are valued at £40 million between them. Now the figure touted around for Gervinho is £10-15 million and he would offer us some flexibility as he can play up front and on the wing. Now this means that they are saying Sow is worth £25-30 million. Which is obviously not true.

Sow is 25 years old and has only had one good season in France, so I think his value would be similar to Gervinho's. I would happily see us spend £25 million on the pair for the following reasons:

    - The majority of the money should go towards improving our strikeforce and the leftovers should get us a CB, LB and winger. On top of that possibly Ireland depending on performances and price.

-They have played together all season and between them have scored over 30 goals this season, so they know each others game, which means it wont take long for them to gel together

-Lille play a three pronged strike force of Hazard-Sow-Gervinho. These two players have played very well in this system. We can play Ben Arfa instead of Hazard and we would have a very impressive strike force.

We could then have the following line-up:

    --------------Harper--------------

    Simmo----New CB---Colo----Enrique

    ----Barton------Tiote----Nolan-----

    -Gervinho------Sow--------Ben Arfa

What do you think, would you sign both these players for £25 million if possible, or would you go for one of them and a proven premiership striker, or none of them at all?

Never though of a 4-3-3 that lineup looks good. Haven't seen or heard of Sow though so i can't comment on him. If he's good enough to justify that price tag though <ok>

Rather go for Gervinho and look at Africa for a tall strong striker

Looks like a good line up but thats alot of money to spend on two players who could possibly take a season to adjust.

Saying that I dont think we'l be fighting relegation next year so it could be a good season to build a very good team.

This who I wanted Spurs to buy when we were (and I quote) "in for a Russian" and we got Pavlyuchenko, whom I don't mind. Would have loved Pogrebnyak.

They dont work well together which is a real shame, would be frightening if they could. Possibly why Russia are always close but not close enough.

Very true, Russia would have won the Euro 2008 championship if it wasn't for Spain.

A stupid comment really but a valid point!

The Russian team were very good and would of had a better chance with Pav and Pog but Spain were too good that tournament <ok>
