I didn't say he wasn't a good driver. I only said he was slow because I wanted to find a word that would express my view of his speed in relation to Button. Hamilton, even at the start of the race, couldn't get anywhere near Button. The facts are that Hamilton cocked up the start and then wasn't quick enough to regain the lead.

Hamilton didn't get a sniff all race. That's all I said, but some people want to help Hamilton out with excuses. Not sure why that is.

It was a close call in 2009, but that's nonetheless a great stat, and a surprising one given the notoriously unpredictable conditions.

"some people want to help Hamilton out with excuses. Not sure why that is."

That's the thing with Genius, people are far more accomodating. Take Schumi/Senna driving into people, MJ being accused as a *****, rooney shagging grannies etc.

Throw into it his fragile nature and confidence and people see an underdog with streaks of world class potential hindered by either a nature not of their own doing, or by the team around them..... Possibly. Or I might have just made that up. <laugh>

I hope we get a wet race. It always springs a suprise, and rewards the driver, not the car. Don't be suprised to see a Kobayashi or Schumacher challenging if it's wet.

I think I've whinged about this already but Pirelli should change the colour of their hard tyre, it's stupid having one white and one silver, they'll be virtually impossible to tell apart, especially on a stream.

I'm hoping this will be a wet quali to shake the grid up and then a 4 stop dry race, I don't really want a wet race because it will be all red flags and safety cars given the amount of it they get in Malaysia.

Yeah, usually I'm a fan of rain but in Malaysia it just goes to far. Wouldn't mind a drying track for the race, who's the bravest on drys on a damp track <ok>

Nice try :D A genius, according to the oh so trustworthy Wikipedia, "is someone embodying exceptional intellectual ability, creativity, or originality, typically to a degree that is associated with the achievement of unprecedented insight." Note that it doesn't mention driving a car or kicking a ball. Therefore we can safely assume that Lewis Hamilton, Ayrton Senna and Wayne Rooney are not geniuses. I would also think that it would take quite a lot of imagination to see Hamilton as an underdog. I just think that Hamilton comes across as a prat.

FP1 and 3, no chance, but the rest are do-able, also don't forget the clocks go forward for the race.

I can remember last year when Moltisanti changed the time on his phone the day before so his alarm would go off at the right time, then it changed itself automatically at midnight and he ended up getting up an hour early. <laugh>
