It's called narcissism Marko. Why does anyone pull the blinkers down and continually believe that Bates will allow a team to be built that can compete? He has not done it so far. Crowds are further down. He has already stated there will be a new player policy brought in. Next year's prediction: 1. Colin will leave around November. 2. Eddie Gray will return as manager. 3. We may just avoid relegation. 4. Bates will blame the lack of fans meaning a lack of money meaning a lack of quality players (unlike the huge number of quality players we had when there was an average of 27k fans. Dick.) 5. Bates will threaten to liquidate the club unless the fans stream back. No rational, sane person would ever believe we will have more than a passing interest in being promoted. But no-one who supports a football club ever claimed to be same or rational when predicting their club's results. Onto the Prem in 2013 with Kenny and Colin. MOT.
Unfortunately with his track record, it is not too far-fetched. I don't think it will go down quite like that, but let's not underestimate the evil quotient here.
