Poolie, you re a crackin lad an all that, and i must admit to having the odd titter at the players you come up with and rate (many of them very good dont get me wrong) but mate, your now living in bloody cloud cuckoo land !!!!...So for a start tell me why you would like to see Gardner, and Killa offloaded..massively improved players in my opinion who deserve to stay and be given a chance. As for Ji, hes still developing. Poolie, whilst I dont deny that some of these overseas players you tout are great players, you have to be realistic, they wont be conming here mate, especially Farfan (rumoured to be on 80 grand a week) or Giroud. For me Bentdner isnt good enough and i am convinced we wont follow up on his loan to us, regardless of only a 4 million price tag, instead I think we may make a move for Cisse (if QPR go down) MON has long stated that hes a big fan of pace in his sides. As for the left back speck, I am not convinced by Warnock, for those who mentioned him...(too inconsistant) instad I think MON will see how Richo goes and even look closer at Bridge who appears to be finding his feet. Il say again though...Poolie..I love yer posts..but foreign isnt always better mate....incidently heard a rumour down here today that Hoilett is nailed on for Anfield next season
Its you thats wrong mate if that foreign player massie[ any relation to Ferguson] finds out Sunderlad are interested heell drop them spivs and be ower ear like a rat up a drain pipe ha ha ha ha
Poole, Mathias Suarez is class mate, and he's a big lad as well, rare to see a 6 ft lad with quick feet like that and tidy control. Don't be fooled by that video though mate, he's no goal machine, and often plays out wide, his goals record is good, but it is flawed as many braces on the list, leaving some 85% or so of games e hasn't scored in. Good player, but not what we need. We won't be getting Farfan either, he'll go to Spain, but Giroud, well if Montpellier fall away, we may have a shot. He is brilliant.
I personally think a midlands club will come in for Gardner offer us the money we signed him for and he will go as for Kilgallon I think MoN will want to make space for his own players and I think Killa will one of those who are sacrificed along with Bramble, Elmo and a couple others. I agree foreign isn't always better but I think with regards to attacking players we should certainly be looking oversea's as the prices for just average players are inflated in this league as we know with the 20m we recieved for Henderson, I cannot really think of anygood attacking players who would really improve us without costing a bomb. Farfan yer your probably right but think we could maybe get Giroud depending on who else is interested and Stoch. Who would of thought Gyan would go on to sign for SAFC when he smashed that goal in against the USA at the World Cup? As I said earlier if we are to keep Sess we need to sign players of a similar quality and you get better value for money oversea's.
echo what others have said, i'd love fletcher here i think he's a cracking player, if wolves go down i'd take jarvis and doyle off their hands too. i think zaha has o'neill signing written all over it, but there will be other clubs in for him too i'd imagine. i'd also like to see brunt up here, he can carve teams open better than any of our boys, but i doubt he'd leave wba, at least not for us
If we are talking wba players look no further than James Morrison, possibly the most under rated player in the premier league. Admittedly he's getting a few more plaudits this year after some cracking goals. Id like us to test their resolve over Odemwingie too, got a feeling Hodgson would let him go at a decent price.
Some canny bargains to be had.......... It is more goals than Wigan and Wolves have scored between them in the league so far this season, so perhaps the Premier League's bottom two clubs could learn a thing or two from Wheel Power FC, who scored 58 goals in a single match. The Torbay Sunday League leaders thrashed Devon rivals Nova 2010 FC 58-0 â believed to be the heaviest defeat in British history. After conceding 20 in the first 45 minutes, it was all about damage limitation for Nova in the second half. It did not go to plan. The amateur leagueâs second-bottom side let in another 38, with brothers Robbie and Stuart Bowker scoring 28 times between them. âAt 50-0, theyâd had enough but the referee told them they must carry on playing or they would risk being fined,â 21-year-old Stuart explained. Nova veteran Lewis Parker, 60, added: âA lot of the players didnât turn up so we expected to lose but not by that much.â Cornish side Illoganâs 55-0 thrashing of Madron FC in 2010 is thought to be the previous record. Wheel Power beat bottom club Applebys 30-0 and 27-0 earlier in the season, helping them notch up 167 goals from 15 games â and leaving little doubt as to which team has the upper hand if the title comes down to goal difference.
Sunderland are weighing up moves for Blackpool winger Matty Phillips and Paris Saint-Germain defender Sylvain Armand. Sunderland scouts watched Phillips, 21, in Blackpool's 3-3 draw with Leicester but face competition from Everton, Bolton and Blackburn. Armand, 31, wants to leave Parc des Princes in the summer and his representative was reported to have visited England last week for talks with Sunderland.
I remember last season against Blackpool at home, he came on and destroyed Bardsley. I woudl love him, I think he awesome.
Agree about Phillips. Cardiff had an 800k bid rejected in Jan, even if that's a ball park figure he's gonna be a bargain. Blackpool need promotion to keep hold of him and even then i reckon a handsome 7 figure sum would do the trick. Mcclean on the left, Phillips on the right. Pound for pound the best wingers in the prem next year.
Phillips and/or Zaha would be class signings and very much MON type signings. We would still need a striker though.
