Chris Smalling A Question.

I'm glad he's ok after the head injury he had against Holland a couple of weeks ago, the reason why i created this thread is because i want to ask is will our promising defender have to wear the skull cap throughout his career like Petr cech does for Chelsea ?

 

No I dont think so. I think Chech wears it coz he's a scared little girl.

 

I haven't seen it, but I can imagine it being rather fetching

 

Think he will only be wearing it for a period of time.

No he won't.

Cech had to wear his cos he fractured his skull so it may still be weak in any collisions. Also his fracture was apparently due to the fact that he was a triplet IIRC, and so has a weaker than normal skull.

Smalling only suffered a cut to the head - his cap was just to cover up the wound, prevent infections. and try to stop it reopening. Once the wound has healed he should be fine.

I was watching the reserves last night and he wasn't wearing it, it seems the cuts have been stitched up.
