Southampton entertain Doncaster in the Championship on Saturday. Will you be hoping Saints pick up all three points, which could do Pompey a favour. Will you be hoping for a draw. If we win we will still go above Donny and Saints will have dropped 2 points Will you be hoping for a Donny win, as you've accepted relegation so it's business as usual for your wishes for the neighbours
That's a no brainer Dev - Saints have to win. I still haven't given up hope that we can climb out of this deep dark pit. Plus I would rather see Saints go up on auto promotion than WHU - it wouldn't hurt Gold Sullivan and Brady to be a little humbled.
Now come on third eye! You simply cannot have it both ways. A little bit of goading and you now want the result which is least useful to your club. Admit it. You might feel a bit grubby, but you will be cheering on the "deck chairs" this Saturday!
No Channon - that was a retaliatory strike for Sa1nts desire. I don't mind Southampton winning, it'll never make me feel grubby. Southampton is where I got my love of all things Jazz when I was just a youngster. Mind you - I'll never be a stripey one - Pompey is the one and only for me.
Definitely want Saints to win, even though I don't like relying on other teams. Just when you want them to win though they'll probably fcuk it up. Course if WE don't win on Sat it won't really matter either way...
southampton to win dont as long as they do coventry on the last day of the season as well have any problem with the other clubs in the south doing wel!!!
Third Eye Curious by your comment about jazz in Southampton. Are you talking about the gigs in Turner Sims or the pubs along the top of the High Street where I used to go regularly to listen when my piano teacher had a regular gig at Goblets. I regularly go to the former whenever there is anything decent on but the artists who have been over the last few months haven't been that inspiring. Best two recent gigs were Steve Coleman and Joe Lovano.
Hi Ian - afraid I'm talking much longer ago. Back in the 70s when Southampton was the jazz centre of the south. My musical tastes became very eclectic when everyone else my age was into Top of the Pops, Bread, Mott the Hoople, Slade, etc. etc. I was spending a lot of time listening to real music all around Southampton. Portsmouth was then a lot more folksy. The Real Ale & Thunder Band was a local Southampton band and my favourite from that time. I don't remember the names of the places we went to, as I say it was a very long time ago. Good memories though.
If it helps us....Saints to win. They've suffered for long enough and I don't begrudge them some good times........ as long as their good times don.'t last too long
Happy for Donny to turn 'em over Saturday. I'm sure we can we can have our cake etc. Will never be 'cheering on' deckchairs not ever ever EVER !! I'm with Sa1nts on that one By the way, how the sweetie wrapper collection coming along? One sad puppie
Believe it or not 3rd....its total pants today....and for the rest of the week. Very very windy....and unusually grey. Sounds like UK is the place to be this weekend. Will try to follow the game online....what time is KO....3?
Very nice weather over here XLP - sunny, warm, summery Yep KO 3 o'clock. Hoping for a repeat of Tuesday night's game. 3 points will do nicely please. The Great Escape has begun. Just have never seen us being relegated - will be very surprised if that does happen.
