http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-17442946?b=0&w=0&c=0&s=0 Will you be better or worse off? It says I will be £145 better off in 2012/13 based on a normal week where I don't drink (that is the majority of weeks).
2013/ 2014 is when the income tax changes are implemented you bell piece, so base it on that... We'll all be £80 a month better off once they kick in, based on no one earning less than the threshold and nee rich ****s being on the site.
Anything I would have seen an increase for (tax and I don't drink or smoke) is wiped out with the rise in inflation and the cost of fuel. They were saying this is a neutral budget because all the money the dummy gave away (dropping the top tax by 5p) will be clawed back with other changes (moving the goal posts on pensions) so nobody is going to be more than a few quid better or worse off either way. What I am having trouble understanding is the justification for the reduction in the top tax rate when they are only going to get £75 a month less tax of a £160,000 per year earner with such a small reduction. The idea is that because the upper rate is lower it will encourage top earners to pay their taxes instead of trying to avoid them. Yeah, and my sh*t tastes of chocolate. Ass Clown.
The 50p tax rate was unfair though. What incentive is there to work hard to improve your earning potential if the government is going to take half your earnings?
Unless I quote what someone else says. The exact text on the BBC site was "You will be about £145 better off in 2012/13"
Heard on five live the other day that in the early 1970's...not sure of the exact date...it was around 80p in the pound...Now that's hard to take...
Bloody hell and we think it's bad today. That's a crazy amount of tax and I can't imagine the actual revenue generated by that was anywhere near target if they can't even meet targets with the 50p tax.
Just paid £11k worth of tax today That's the first time I've been up to date with a tax year in 3 years (here comes Jeanene)
That sounds like a gay version of Here Come The Warm Jets. I like Here Come The Warm Jets. I don't like Here Comes Jeanene.
