I agree with most of what you have said. Yes, if we are not better next season then that changes things. I dont think we are to far from having a great team.
It's emotional supporting the mighty Liverpool, unfortunately as of late, it has been up and down I like Luv's last post, while we are not good enough right now, KK deserves the next year, a chance to blood youth ( which I think he should do this season and it will pay off for next), and make the quality buys such as Martinez, Marin, Soldado, etc that will take us that next step. The league is done for me, I will watch and support from afar but won't be expecting much. FA Cup we really need to win for me though.
Answer the question, we either have poor players or poor management, you can't have it both ways. Personally i think its a bit of both, we have a good spine as i listed earlier but the rest is extremely mediocre and that makes a lot of difference. Some of the mediocrity is Kenny's fault, some isn't.

For me, what we win this season or where we finish is irrelevant. For me the most important thing is signs of progress. I have seen that. Phase one of the rebuild was clearing dead wood and improving the squad, phase 2 will be to add two or three really good players. Next season we must progress, if notm then we can question Kenny. But he deserves a chance to at least build his own team.
I just can't see that happening though, i hope we can and i expect we will be in for them but i just have a horrible feeling that there's a lot of teams up and coming at the moment that are going to be in for these players which is going to make it very challenging. We have more history than most, some have more money than us, its the way it goes now.
(Que United fans to mock me) OUr sponsopships we have landed will provide the money for at least two of these without the income of selling players and the owners money. Problem is can we get them without CL? We shall see....
one year into a rebuild, what did you expect, league titles, 7-0 wins every week. We have improved from last year and we must improve again next year, if we keep doing this, we will be ok.
