Was not talking to you, have not read much of the thread, just the last dozen comments, mostly calling for Kenny's head, usual story after a defeat. Patience aghhhhhh....
EXACTLY! Too many fans think that criticising the team and/or manager after a **** performance makes you a fake fan or a pessimist. Just being a realist.
Yeah I know what you're saying. This is repeating a previous argument. I don't feel he is the right man for the future. Should we then keel someone in purely just for sentiment?
the older fans insinuations that younger fans opinions are less valid because they didn't see Kenny first time round etc are poor and pretty irrelevant
We have been patient for 22 years and not won the League, we are no better than last yaer after spending £36 net, Kenny doesnt pick the best team, he picks his signings, and they f**k it up week after week, since December our League form is relegation form,he makes subs too late, is miles too neagtive with subs and team selection.Hes the one who is sipposed to coach us to be better,we aint, and we have spent a fortune. When he took over, I thought oh no, cos I knew he would cock it up and be impossible to remove, I was stunned when we did well for 6 months, so what die he do with those players, sell Meireles ,and barely play Maxi,Kuyt,Jay for 6 months We are the second biggest club in England, that should be our lowest expectation EVERY year, we have finished 2nd twice in 22 years, and NEVER 1st, our patient fans are the reason why we are ****e, we accept shi* football too easily.Dalglish has got to go in the summer
Kenny Dalglish has done enough for this club to deserve patience from it's fans. He will know when it's time to go himself ,I agree with Baz that it's disrespectful to be calling for this man's head after such a short period of time in charge and when he has just lead us to our first silverware in many years.
They are irrelevant, the here and now counts, not 20 years ago. I wouldn't call for Kenny's head as he doesn't deserve that but if he were to move upstairs in the summer and a new manager come in i would not be disappointed. I knew it was a mistake when he was given a permanent deal on the back of a decent run in mostly dead rubber games last season, the heart ruled the head and we've ended up here. We have improved but, with the resources available, could have improved a lot more.
My same thoughts, I think we should play around and experiment with the line-up and youngsters until the end of the season, bar the FA Cup, what do we have to lose? Might just show some real hunger and fight again. 5-8 is really irrelevant for me as we already have Europa, I know there is a bit more money but money is not an issue anymore...... I think.
Realistic isn't sacking a manager every time he doesn't reach the expected target. We aren't Chelsea for goodness sake. What you'll find is the fans reacting and calling for Kenny's heads after the 3-2 loss are the same ones who were loudly boasting about us being 2-0 half an hour ago and starting to talk about finishing top 4 etc. Knee jerk is what I think we call these fans.
I agree. We let sentiment and out dated values override what is essentially a very cut throat industry.
Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish: "It's very difficult to explain-" I could explain with three words, with the last one ending with ****.
With that thought, do you think FSG will talk to Kenny about it? Get his thoughts, how he feels, let's say they could line up Klopp/Rafa ( just a name that is there)/Mourinho/etc would they talk to Kenny first due to his status with the club or would they feel they have to make the first move? We need the FA cup I feel for this season to be considered somewhat of a success. Our league form is just....well.....not good enough
What you are forgetting is that we are a work in progress, you speak as if we will just sit down in the summer, smoke a pipe and come back next year and fail again. Will we ****, Kenny will assess the season, get rid of whoever he feels failed and bring in new signings. He is desperate to suceed. If there is no improvement next year. Fine, time to look elsewhere. As usual some fans very reactional to one result.
