Although we did beat you 2-0, comfortably in the end, I was very impressed with how solid you looked and how little chances we created and I feel that if you had a player similiar to Lallana to create chances you really would be right up there with us. Also very impressed with your right winger, can't remember his name but gave Fox, in my opinion the best left back in the league, a very difficult night. What I wasn't impressed with however, was a few of your fans in the corner near the Saints fans. Several of your lot (middle aged men) were threatening to 'see us outside the ground' and giving the slit throat threat. Most of your fans outside were good as gold and saying they hope we win it, but there was one group of idiots who threatened us outside the ground and ended it by telling us to '**** off back to Bristol'. Not sure how that works... But anyway good luck for the rest of the season, genuinely hope we are back next year, in the Premiership

I think most City fans will agree with you on most of this. The difference in my opinion was the quality of the final ball and your finishing compared to ours. We've had this problem all season we get into good positions but either turn it into nothing with a crap pass or mess up the shot. The winger's name is King, he had his best game for us yet and won our MotM award. After last night I'm pretty sure you'll win the league, you've played a lot of teams off the park but also you can win games without necessarily dominating which most teams can't do.

Agreed, we were definitely second best on the night. Hope The Saints enjoy their year in the Premier League.

Totally agree, you didn't create enough whilst dominating IMO, that said, Kelvin did pull of a few excellent stops. Is King the lad on loan from United? If so i would suggest he has a bright future in the game.

Twice we have played the league leaders at home this season (West Ham when they came earlier in the season) and twice we have had the higher share of chances, and yet lost 2-0 because we can't convert those said chances.

Well done to Southampton last night because despite not playing particulary well, they got the three points, and that's what teams that win titles do!

Yes, although that doesn't really narrow it down. We have 6 lads from Man United in total, but only he and Brady are still on loan deals.

Thanks for the compliments. Definitely think on a different day there was atleast a point in it for you. If im honest we haveb't been particularly well recently whilst we are unbeaten in 11 winning 8 i believe. You are correct though, this is the hallmark of champions.

We could be back there for some time who knows, though maybe not 27 years this time ;)

I thought Hull were good at St Mary's too. I was expecting a Jan loan signing, al a Reading with Roberts, was going come in provide the cutting edge.

Hi went to the game too and was pleased to see how well the Community system at the KC was doing, there were absolutely loads of people around in the afternoon! Also found the fans and stewards helpful and friendly so it was good all around, including the result.

While I agree that Saints were certainly not at their best our teams ability to weather the storm and then get an early goal was a real fillip. I thought that Koren going off was a bit of a loss for you and that the player in the hole between our defence and midfield gave us problems towards the end of the first half before we changed formation. I think that in the second half much of the game was fairly comfortable for us and we were happy to let you play in front of us.

Having said that Hull look a decent team and if you could have a Frazier Campbell back I am sure you would be up there. The defence marshaled Lambert well but this left space for another forward or midfielder.

I think that's a bit harsh. For all the hyperbole about the Premier League, I don't think the top of the championship/bottom of the premiership has ever been closer. We managed two seasons, Blackpool set the prem alight for a while. Look at Norwich and Swansea. DQPR could be doing alright if their owner had the foggiest what he was doing.

Any team going up has got a realistic chance of survival now IMO. No one can say the prem is untouchable these days.

I like how Saints are doing things. They play good football, and they're not trying to buy success like Feicester did. Good luck to them. Fingers crossed for a Soton/Reading top two... Would like to see how West Ham cope with Nolan's contract on another year's championship money.

Our finishing is a real worry, you had three decent chances and scored two , we had three and scored zilch.

Story of a lot of games we've played this season.

As for the special needs brigade in the North East corner, bunch of real hard men. Hard men who know they are segregated and have literally no chance of actually coming to blows.
I went in there start of last season and nearly started scrapping with the bloke directly behind me before a ball had been kicked.

Obviously they're not all bell ends in that section but a fair few are.

It's regrettable that our management came to the conclusion there were no players available that could improve our strike rate. They didn't try very hard by all accounts.

I thought Southampton looked decent but not as dominant as I expected. The lad Lallana looks class, whilst Lambert reminds me of Grant Holt and Guly is a typical whingeing foreigner (is he Brazilian?)

Went down to St Marys three years running before we got promoted to the PL and was looking forward to making the trip this year till that stupid computer made both fixtures fooking night matches.

Anyway good luck in the PL next year - hope you enjoy it. Whilst you might have been in the top flight for 27 years (staggering for a club and city of your size) the PL and not the old First Division are two different animals.

Are you sure mate? Any team that averages 32000 is a big club. You are deluded.
