Or the same horse and race number
    Or .....

Yep. No winners for me on Friday!

I bet Saints to win the championship, before we finished last season. Got 25/1 odds think I bet a tenner, will have to find my betting slip.

We are now 4/9 to win the league and a miniscule 1/10 to get promoted. In comparison West Ham and Reading are both 4/1 to win the league and 4/7 to get promoted.

I put 20 quid on at 14/1 towards the start of the season to win the league. Also 10 quid at 4/1 for promotion by any means. But I made the mistake of putting 10 quid on Maynard for top scorer cause I thought he was signing for us.

I got on saints at 20/1. only laid down £25 at the time so not bothered if we go up or not. However if it comes in, it will pay for a night out.

I'm trying to find out the person's identity, from our golf club who accidentally ended up putting just over a £1000. On Saints to win the Championship prior to the season started. Now I don't know much about horses or betting on them. It seems he bet on some sort of accumulator with long odds. He got his legged pulled by the manager about being a Saints fan and was persuaded to add in a bet on where Saints finished the season. It seems he did not have that much faith in his previous long odds bet so he gambled the winnings from this bet thinking that it would at least not cost him any more money. I am told his accumulator was a on the nose bet (I haven't a clue what that means). Any way he forgot about the bet and a month later or so was reminded by his work colleague who was with him at the time of the the bet. (My source of information, but he won't tell us who it is, although he says we all know him) It seems that against all odds his original bet came up trumps. He apparently went back to see if he could stop the bet, but the manager said it had to stand. I have no idea what odds he got but I do know this happened on the morning of Saints first game...........

Apparently the club have to pay somebody 4 million if we go up to PL before 2013....presumably this person lent us money in our time of need. I know this was first reported when we brought out our accounts last year.

When I was talking to him last summer he said he wouldn't get any of his money back. The man doesn't get the recognition he deserves, he is the reason we have a club today.

Same remember seeing the accounts, remember seeing Lowe had made 2.4mil. But Crouch had lost around 2mil. He kept us alive and it isn't like he is a multi multi millionaire either.

    If you say so...

Of course he's no where near the wealth of most football club owners, but he is worth a heck of a lot.

Crouch paid the players' wages out of his own pocket at least once when we were in admin I seem to recall.

Not the players, every bodies. He also stumped up the cash that Pinnacle needed, the statue, several maintenance/contractor fees... Without him, the club would have died, that is a fact.
