Think we will win this one 3-0. Donny will have to come at us as a point isn't really enough for them, so they won't park the proverbial bus making it a nice open game. 3 points Saturday, 1 point away to Blackpool, 3 points against the Skates and away to Palace. 10 points will put us on 85 and then a win against Reading at home will put us up as they would need to win 6 and draw 1 to catch us from now to get to 89. Thats how I see it. Game on!
Referee allocated is Danny Mcdermid, not a very good one, we have had issues with him in the past http://www.football-lineups.com/referee/579/ hopefully he will have improved!
Let's not get carried away remember Bristol City and Leicester who both did the double over us and we have already lost once to Donny. Having said that judging by the togetherness and spirit in the team by the way they celebrated up in the KC stadium you can see their confidence is high.
The Hull manager, Barmby, said one of the major differences between them and us was the confidence in the Saints team. They think they're going to win, he said. That will be valuable in the next few games.
Can't see anything but a comfortable win from this one. Maybe 2-0, probabaly 3-0. I'd definately be keeping Guly in for this one, but not fussed if that's at RM or up front. Personally, as a Sharp fan, I'd play Guly RM with Billy up front, but if Nigel wants to stick with Guly up top then that's fine by me - and in which case, I'd start with De Ridder at RM.
I got told off last time I started a match day thread this early I reckon 2-1, Donny playing so well against big teams so think they'll challenge us but we should have enough to get the win. COYR
He got low ratings and I think we won in spite of him if you know what I mean, can't find the report I was looking for.
I dont think that Billy Sharp will have the stomach for playing against Doncaster. Do you really need him for that game ? I dont think so. You are up. Just a case of when its confirmed.
I think Sharp's eagerness to prove himself will overcome his reluctance to score against Doncaster. Nigel has kept him hungry, probably in more ways than one.
I don't care about Cardiff either, but still take an interest in the other results in the Championship!
My heart could do with a comfortable win after the Millwall match and Hull was far from plane sailing. An early couple of goals would do very nicely. Victory and dropped points from either Reading or West Ham might well prompt me to start stock piling the blue nun for the promotion party.
Good results, Cardiff drawing, Blackpool losing momentum for when we go up there. But for us, I'm going for close 2-0, Lallana after 20 minutes and Guly finishing it just after half time.
Blackpool 3 Lester 3. Cardiff 2 Coventry 2. Ipswich 1 Burnley 0. Blackpool in 5th 15 points behind us, was worried about them at one time.
