Because you're not credible pal, if you have 5 paragraphs and one of them is pony, then it looks bad on the entire article, especially if the pony remark (one for the Seinfeld fans) is related to your overall point

I got bored of the actual argument, is it about how you should never just go for money and always do things for the love? Is that what Tash is saying? If so, we don't live in a perfect world.

 

And again you prove my point. There is nobody at our club that is on £120k/week for a start. Also you think that everyplayer in the prem is on more than £30k/week. Top footballers get massively overpaid in comparison with other industries and the premier league is the biggest culprit. So if he wants to throw a paddy and chase the money that is his problem and indeed he is a sell out.

My major problem with your argument is that you seem to think that his situation in anyway compares to the music industry. As ToonSi has very ably put most artists don't earn anyway near what you imagine they do and certainly not from anything other than live gigs and merchandise. Any band/artist that was earning a comparable amount to Carroll would not need to sell out and any change to their musical style would be due to their own artistic choice.

Ah i see, so my opinions are **** and don't matter so we can just dismiss them, but if i get tired of an arguement part of the way through and say i can't be bothered, you say that i'm backing into a corner and ignoring valid arguements.

I've tried to respond to as much as i can, but eventually the whole thing has just digressed, and it becomes tiresome.

Sorry gonna have to disagree. Don't want to start another argument or anything but what about Right Said Fred!

 

Basically there's a reason a lot of the music this thread goes on about isn't univerally popular, people don't like it, it isn't marketable except to a very small percentage of the population. And I think you'll find an awful lot of struggling musicians would sell their left nut to have a hit record so saying bands/people have "sold out" is a bit daft as most people in that situation would do it. Hell, in my youth a lot of guys around the grunge scene etc used to say Nirvana had sold out. ****ing Nirvana! Best ****ing rock band in the world! Sell outs? Really?!

I don't swear at people for disagreeing with me. I do swear, but not AT people. I'll say ****ing ****, but i'm not exactly calling people a **** for disagreeing with me. I only ever do that if people spout the same repetitive **** about me like "jonas bashing".

Anyway, this is something i don't want to get into. Accusations about me are not true, but me argueing in my defense is futile because people just say the same **** about me the next day.

Just end it. People won't stop with the hate RBT bandwaggon, i'll just have to accept it.
