Agree there, even if any of us scrape in this year, you have to have WHU or Reading down as favourites to win it.

Yeah like we were defo going to lose him last summer, I probably agree with you on defence but Lonners has been a shinning light this season. Kept us in so many games from Bristol city home to Hull city away ect amazing keeper and one of the best in the division.

Do you go to matches Liw? Seriously your judgment is shocking not Lonners ability. He's been exceptional this season and probably our most consistent player. There have been so many matches where he has kept us in it. Yes not his best game last night but who did actually play well in a white shirt? His piss poor defence let him down and he had to suffer because of it.

I think it was more Beckford's attitude being ****.

But credit to him he's turned it around.

4 goals in 2 in the league.

6 in 6 in all competitions.

We told you he was good just needed a bit of confidence and 5 shots to get his goal but he will be good for you, you could do with a new keeper though.

It's not that it take him 5 shots per goal.

He's been very clinical and I don't think i'm wrong in saying he's actually on 6 goals from 6 games with 6 shots.

Confidence hasn't been the issue either. In his first interview he was asked if he would be under pressure joining a side who should be winning the league (with the squad and money spent in pre season).

His response was 'weak people feel pressure'. I think that says it all.

It's his attitude, his inability to hassle a defence with the blistering pace he possesses.

But it's changed since Nigel has come back. Nige's man management is first class and he's took JB under his wing and he's getting the best out of him.

As for getting a new keeper, you're probably right. I can see a top half Prem side coming in for him in the summer. Possibly Stoke for his presence and distribution. Although I hear Spurs are dead keen with Cudicini and Friedel hanging up their gloves.

Do you Really think Kasper could cut it in the Prem as a first team regular? I wouldnt fancy him in the sticks to be honest, but you guys have seen almost as much of him as we did. I always said I would like to see Kasper with a settled 'decent' back four in front of him & I expected to see that with you as on paper your very strong especially the CB positions. But it also looks like you've struggled as well so the jury is still out on him IMO. One thing I have noticed is he tends to throw himself at everything making some goals look unstoppable when maybe a more experienced keeper would have been placed better for the intial shot. I think thats something Lonners does well but I'm not going to start comparing them for the sake of the whole forum!

What you say about Stoke though the more I read it the more I can see it. He has got a hell of a boot on him!

With a username like grayson is god, how can i take you seriously.

Ive had a season ticket since 1989, so i've been to a few. How many do you go to ????????

Lonergan was good early on and since he came back is poor, very poor. Everyone thinks he's poor where I sit in the kop.

Similar to kasper last season, started well, got injured and was never the same

Well I know that Spurs have sent scounts to watch his progress.

You have to remember he's only 24. Which, for a goalkeeper, is very young.

At least the Leicester fans can be safe in the knowledge that Chelsea won't come in for him.

It looks like Southampton, Reading and West Ham will go up(West Ham seem to be trying their best to **** things up, but they'll probably still scrape up).

Pity we haven't got quite enough attacking options, we could have made the top two this season, an opportunity missed me thinks.
