Brown. Astounded me with his enthusiasm and commitment. What an engine for a man of his years. And a superb goal to boot.

The only other positive was being able to leave 10 minutes early when Paynter came on, muttering "I'll be delighted if I miss his hat trick". Then they scored again ....<wah>

Positive: you showed great character to get back into the game when 3-1 down to draw level before being cruelly denied the opportunity to hit back with 4 goals as the ref blew for full time.

One positive is that some of the players showed they don't have the heart or passion to wear the Leeds badge.

It kind of makes Warnock's job a bit easier seeing a display like that. Let's hope he has no hesitation in showing half of them the door before the start of next season.

LOL Believe it or not, when we went 6-3 down, I said to the chap next to me "Sadly, I truly believe that we can come back from this". And I believed it ..... for about another 3 minutes.

One positive is that now we know the manager wasn't the problem, and can start searching for problems elsewhere throughout the club. I can guarantee the board will look high and low but never at themselves. Nope, they couldn't possibly be the problem with poor club management and sucking the life out of everyone involved.

Anyone with a clue would know that had the referee allowed the appropriate and sufficient additional time, Leeds would have pulled back just as we did earlier! :bandit: :emoticon-0119-puke:

I agree somewhat but, and I do hate to question literally everything everyone says on this site at times, but do you think any blame is to lie at the feet of Neil Warnock considering that he had the same set of players so up for Southampton, Middlesborough and West Ham and only for that same team that outplayed arguable 3 of the 4 best teams in the division lose to one of the worst so badly?

Josh we so haven't got one of the best 3-4 teams in the division, Reading, West Ham, Southampton are all so far ahead of us it is laughable. You don't concede the goals that we are and get thrashed at home if you have one of the best teams. I can't pick out a positive, I guess we can all stop dreaming and hopefully look forward to next season now. At the moment I don't care who leaves Elland Road, last night was not acceptable and we are half a squad short of mounting a challenge.

    Morning Josh and others!

What can I say fellas? Had you in my bet last night and have been boosting you guys up to sneak in the playoffs and go up.

Thing is looking at the league table it isn't all over and its far from disaster.

Yes you put on a great performance against us and others at the top maybe you just got caught out last night going into the game expecting to win rather than to have to battle like against us.

We made the same mistakes against Bristol City and Doncaster.

But its not all over you have 24 points to play for.<ok>

Alex thats the frustrating thing, time and time again results go for us and we **** up with our result,

The players where knackered yesterday and forests 10 day break showed. Sadly I dont think we have a good enough squad (so players can step in) to make the play offs

The one positive thing to come out of this match is that you will not be meeting West Ham in the play offs.

    All the best

Honeymoon period. Only actually won one of those games. Can talk about deserving to win all you want. Either way, Warnock's inherited a mediocre squad with some talented players that can just about form a starting 11. When those players are asked to play twice in 3 days with no changes it's no surprise they played so badly. But what choice did Warnock have? The rest of the squad is terrible. Why is the squad terrible? It's been built up to be terrible after years of backing the manager into a financial corner. They're always going on about building the club "brick by brick", taking time with everything which would be fine if the team didn't change around so goddamn much. It changes around all the time, our squad is barely recognisable compared to last season. It's all down to loans, incompetence in tying players down to contracts and the £ signs they get in their eyes when they realise we've got a player who's worth a few quid.

Snodgrass will go in the summer, they'll spin a story that attempts to make him sound like the bad guy. White won't sign a contract, as he probably hasn't been offered one. Clayton will be gone. McCormack will be gone. We'll be left with Becchio and Tom Lees to build an entire new squad around and expect them to gel in preseason only to show they aren't good enough again next season.

People keep saying the players are not good enough, not of high enough quality etc etc

Yet we continually lose our players to premiership teams - Beckford, Johnson, Howson - so someone sees something in them that mean they can play at a higher level.

Others who are courting Premiership interest or who were recently premiership players - Snodgrass, Clayton, Lees, Robinson, Brown, McCormack

When we got relegated from the Premiership we had one of the best squads around - and all those players got good moves and continued in the top flight for years more

What is it about Leeds United that means that teams and players continually under-perform other than for short periods?

John Charles, our squad players are not good enough. We have a constant stream of high quality players but they never stick around long enough because the board are so incompetent when it comes to keeping hold of them. Nobody wants to play for Leeds United anymore, where one day it was a very attractive prospect. Nobody wants to play for us because nobody wants to associate with that cretin in charge.

If your going to let Snodgrass go any chance we could have him instead of some Premier league club who will just bench him Villa etc.

You have good players but maybe your right and were tired after putting in such good performances against us and West Ham only to get 1 point from the 6 you truely deserved.

I have just looked on Corals and Leeds are 20/1 for promotion I still have faith and will have a punt and you guys should keep the faith too.

Blackpool a few seasons ago are a prime example and I still feel there is a big run left from you guys.

The teams around the playoffs are all very inconsistent at the moment and it would take a winning run of 3 or 4 games to put you right back in the mix.

LOL if I were any rival team looking over my shoulder Leeds with their shoddy defence and weakness at playing midweek would be just the team I would be hoping to play. Your lot have more chance of beating us over two legs than many of the others.

We might not be playing you in the playoffs this season but we will be playing you in this division again next season that is for sure
