Hello and welcome to the official Not606 match thread for Wednesday's Barclays Premier League encounter between Queens Park Rangers and Liverpool. The game is scheduled to be played on Wednesday the 12st of March at 8.00PM. The game is not being shown on U.K television but streams are normally posted before and during the game. Preview. The midweek fixtures have arrived and Wednesday's clash between Liverpool & Q.P.R is a massive game for both sides. Liverpool have enjoyed good cup runs so far this season but need the three points to push back up the league and towards Newcastle in 6th. Queens Park Rangers have had a difficult season and with one of the hardest runs in, they will be looking for the three points to drag themselves out of trouble. The home side, Queens Park Rangers, don’t go into this game in the best run of form. Their past 4 games have yielded just the one point for Q.P.R. These run of fixtures included the ‘goal’ that they scored against Bolton which wasn’t given. This could have changed things for Q.P.R but it wasn’t to be. Despite a significant investment in the January transfer window with ex-Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse and Bobby Zamora brought in, results haven’t picked up and Q.P.R find themselves in big trouble. It’s been mentioned a lot in the build-up to this game but the West London side have one of the hardest run-ins of any of the sides battling relegation and need to start picking up points quickly. There is no doubt in my mind that Q.P.R has more than enough quality to stay up. There are goals in the side and the defence has been strengthened. With their run-in though, they might have left it too late. The away side, Liverpool, has been better but still not brilliant. Our past 4 games have brought 2 wins and 2 draws. Liverpool had gone into the Merseyside Derby on the back of 2 league defeats on the bounce but Steven Gerrard scored a hat-trick as Liverpool beat Everton 3-0. This was a great performance but you are never sure which Liverpool will turn up. Will it be the Liverpool that can beat Everton 3-0 and pick up away wins at Stamford Bridge? Or will it be the Liverpool that gets beat 3-1 at Bolton? No Liverpool fan can be 100% certain. That’s been our problem this season. So inconsistent. However, things are starting to improve with the front three of Suarez, Carroll & Gerrard starting to understand each other and we are finally starting to put the ball in the back of net. Chances will need to taken or Q.P.R will take advantage. Another big game under the lights. Should be a great game! Injury News. Queens Park Rangers. Federico Macheda- Ankle/Foot Injury. I'll be following this one from a lonely Premier Inn. 0-1 Liverpool to cheer me up! Suarez. Nice thread as per usual.
As I did for our F.A Cup game with Stoke, i've just stuck a thread up on the Q.P.R board inviting them over to this thread for a bit of pre-match chat and banter! I'll continue to do this until cross-board threads are enabled again.
Yeah we badly do. Our League form is absolutely shocking of late. Lets hope the Cups don't take precedant completely.
Great thread Chris. Can see this being tough even though QPR aren't in good form at the moment. They still have a lot of good players and Mark Hughes always sets up teams well. I'll go with bows prediction, 1-0 and a Suarez goal.
Thanks for the invite Chris. Tomorrow is a huge game for QPR, we have to get some momentum going. Our team is better than the results would have you believe and definitely better than when we played at Anfield. There will be a great atmosphere at Loftus Road under the lights, and I'm hoping that we finally click and Cisse scores a couple - interested in what you think of him, the daft sending off aside he has looked sharp and exciting for us. I have to go for a home win, though form would say the opposite.
Yes, thanks for the invite over boys...i used to (as a 6 yr old ) quite like Liverpool, I owned the old Crown paints sponsored kit and oly stopped wearing it when i realisehd i needed a 'tash and a dodgy perm......!! I'm praying for a win to be honest and i defo think Lord C will cause some trouble (of some form or another). from what i remember he did quite wel for you guys didnt he. Now if you would kindly leage Stevie G, saurez and another 4-4 of your 1st, in Liverpool We could watch a half decent game... Now i'm off to don my shell suit and do over a few 'lecky meters.........UUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRR'ssssssss...QPR 2-1 LFC PS - I know they are old cliche's but all i could think of in haste !!
please log in to view this image You haven't changed much Queenslander but i hardly recognised you without the perm.
It's too late, but we really do now have to prove we can raise our game against ALL teams and not just the perceived 'big' teams and for cup knockouts. This is well overdue and I'm going for 0 - 2 for the Redmen.
Couldn't have said it any better hardon..... I am also looking forward to giving Cisse a good reception, he was here in a succesful spell and loved Liverpool, he gets some respect from me
Well, the score here at Loftus Road is nil-nil, in a really outright boring match with just 3 minutes to go....but wait....Whats this?!....Shaun Derry disposses Suarez on the edge of the Rangers area.....He's sprinting, yes that's right you heard it, sprinting with the ball in some sort of amazing forward trajectory. This is unheard of. Gerrard closing in for the tackle...OH MY!!! he's tripped over his laces and Derry glides passed unopposed over the half way line. Now Dirk Kuyt is going in for a challenge. They've both collided and dropped to the floor like a sack of spuds! Derry's first to get up and now he's running back the way he came clearly dazed.... Adel Taarabt kindly points out to Derry that the Liverpool goal is in the other direction. He's turned around...he's still going, at a slow jog now....A demonicly crazed look in his eyes....He lifts back his leg and looks to unleash an almighty shot....Ooooh but his foot boots straight into the turf only scuffing the ball, Derry in some pain there. The ball pea rolls towards the goal. Hang on! Pepe Reina's horsing around in the Liverpool goal. He's doing the Brucie silhouette pose, he hasn't seen the ball! It's gone in! what an upset here.... Or any other way we can score and keep a clean sheet I'll be a very very happy man
