Lionel Messi tonight became Barcelonas top scorer of all time with 234 Goals. By far the greatest player I've seen in my life time and he's still only 24. I still hope one day in his career he finally gets his dream match away to Stoke.
You beat me to it! I was about to ask if he could do it on a wet Tuesday night away at Stoke! I'm still not sure...
Unreal. Without a doubt the best player I have also seen in my lifetime. Can he get 70 goals this season?
Would be amazing if he could and I wouldn't be surprised at all. Also worth mentioning he overtook Ronaldo today and is now La Ligas top scorer.

Amazing really. Christiano Ronaldo is also actually up there too but he is just overlooked by this machine of a player. Like many have said, he is the best i've seen. Trouble is I agree he does need to improve his international record. But this means wishing Argentina to win and that will simply never, ever, happen!
He got 53 last season, and 47 the year before that. 54 and counting this season. I dread to think what might happen next...
I don't think he's as good as some English players. Could he take a throw-in like Rory De Lap on a wet Tuesday evening at Stoke? Could he be such a commanding leader as John Terry, or speak the lingo well enough to slag off coloured opposition players? Watch the way Jamie Callagher plays the ball out of defence -could Messi do that? Look at the way Ashley Cole tells refs to eff off with such effortless fluency - he couldn't do that.VERY overrated, IMO. Vote for the National Front.
To think no foreign player does the above would be a little shortsighted. And I'd love to see how he would do on a ****ty winters day at Stoke. Probably only score 2.
Watching what Messi has achieved tonight only saddens me when I think what Sean Dundee could have done if given the chance
Take Xavi & Iniesta out the team and his goal scoring record would be considerably less, people tend to overlook this imo. As is clearly evident when he plays for his national side.
Split any successful team up and the same argument will apply. Is it Messi's fault Pep chooses the players that are Messi's teammates?
