Cos we do seem to have been trying our best to plant ourselves firmly to the bottom of the form tables 4 games under Redders: 2 wins, 2 losses 6 games under Colin: 1 win 3 draws 2 losses Although the rest of the division is trying its best to keep our expectations up there, with false hope that a wee run of 7 victories on the bounce will easily see us with a chance of tripping up spectacularly and embarrassingly in the play-offs, the fact is that we are having difficulties in mustering single solitary wins. The table never lies and all that, and it is still mathematically possible, but I'm not even going to cling to the false hope of probability this season. In all reality, that forlorn hope had vanished during the transfer window, and in hindsight, it really vanished on that first inglorious day of the season as Max stroked home that injury time penalty that probably never should have been. But there is the summer coming, and there's always next season. The explosion of activity we can confidently expect - generally consisting of a few academy players not getting their first contract and being shown the door - will develop stoically into an end-July panic purchase of 2 or 3 old defenders and a fat centre midfielder who used to be good in some distant past while plying his trade in the Suzuki J-League's second tier. But I can confidently state we will be safe in the hands of Colin; we may even over-achieve and threaten to break into mid-table next year. And the 17,000 regulars at ER next season had better be grateful. Cos Kenny will be blaiming the rest of us - who are no longer stupid enough to cough up premiership prices for mediocre second tier football week in week out - for cutting off his (and Colin's) money supply. He wouldn't have spent it anyway, but this just gives him a get out clause. On and on.
why would you include the word clearly infront of that. Its not clear imo. I have always thought Warnock is a bad manager and my opinion of him isn't going to suddenly change as soon as he becomes leeds' manager. I have been impressed with the way he has had the team closing down but they were the same players that outplayed 3 of the 4 best teams in the division yet they lose so badly to one of the worst. I think you must question Warnock's tactics for this game, im not taking anything away from your pure hatred of bates nor am I taking anything away from the recent performances under Warnock, I am just saying you can't blindly say things. Manager sets the tactics, the team is easily better than Florest and that was proved when we beat them in the reverse fixture and by the league table so why didnt we beat them?
My biggest fear is that Bates uses his usual delay tactics in summer targets, NW walks out due to lack of ambition and funding and we start the new season searching for a manager or with a last minute one popped into place just as the transfer window closes and after cashing in on Snodgrass and Clayton Josh you simply fail me for words sometimes, Warnock a bad manager who has won promotion several times *sigh*...
