So what's on the menu for tonight? For us we have a dire match between Blackburn and Sunderland. S'land look so labouring it will only take B'burn one goal to win this. It's back down to earth for Keith Curle with his resurgent Notts County side trailing 0-4 at home to Sheff United. Neil Warnock will be fuming at half time after surrendering an early lead. First they gave away the lead only two minutes after gaining it, then they go on to concede in injury time, two deadly sins in NW's school of excelence. And Lionel Messi has set a new goalscoring record at Barcelona. Beating an over fifty year old record for most goals scored for such an estemed outfit. Doing it at an age of 24 is just unbelievable! So what's your thoughts on tonight's action? Will a potential Blackburn win have an positive or detrimental effect on our lads?
Hmmm, the only one i'm interested in is Blackburn Sunderland for obvious reasons. The story so far is Blackburn 8 shots Sunderland 0 which doesn't bode well. We need Sunderland to step it up and keep Blackburn in the mix and then crash down to earth against the hoops at the weekend. Last thing we need is a Sunderland loss followed by a rocket from O'Neill that sees them bounce back against us!
Forest scored an early second half goal to make it 1-3, took Warnock's Leeds only two minutes to graft out two goals to equalise!!! I fear the worst 74, Blackburn to win this and as you say us recieving the S'land backlash. S'land look soooooo disinterested tonight it's frightening!
Yes, watching this, Blackburn certainly the more lively team, and that is a good description of Sunderland's current performance level. Great save from Mignolet - quite the Blackburn onslaught. Fingers crossed for a goal against the run of play.
We had S'land at home just after they appointed O'Neill, B'burn face them after two games between last time B'burn played. You do the math. Liverpool in the same situation against us as S'land tonight, lets hope it can give us the same edge as B'burn got tonight.
Honeymoon over for Keith Curle, 4-0 down to Neil Warnock's former team, who must be going bonkers after pulling it back to 3-3, to now be 3-6 down.
Wayne Bridge is, and has been, pants in the Sunderland - at least we didn't end up with him. Wish we could have picked up a striker like Zigic at Birmingham - at least the othe Wright-Philliips is adding to his tally at Charlton. What a Sunderland misss!!!!!!
I said on another thread that playing against teams that are "safe", but with nothing to play for will help our rivals and unfortunately, Sunderland's dire showing tonight is proving my point!
Not at all, just a tiny bit frustrated that we got the short end of the stick re the fixture list. No offence intended at all By the way, is this some sort of conspiracy against us? How on earth can he miss that? It was a SITTER!
I'm hoping they rest some players against us, in preparation for their FA cup replay. Everton did against Liverpool of all teams, will o'neill do the same?
