    That was grim. Was annoyed with how many times we tried to play our way out of the back and ended up giving the ball away. Wasn't impressed with Cabaye or Hatem today. Still, another 3 points on the board, got to take them how they come.

    I echo what dave said. A very tidy finish (I think it was deliberate with the shin?)

    Sorry about a fairly dull match otherwise- we played five in midfield and it somewhat destroyed the game a little I feel. Not helped by us lacking some in the finishing department and some class saves from Krul.

    At full time I thought we might have deserved a draw for the second half performance, but the first half we barely arrived and did alright out of some Ruddy heroics (Ruddy for England!!)

    Good luck on your European push. Honours shared this season.

    2 teams capable of playing a lot better than they did today. The fact we had Cisse was the difference in the match IMO.

    Poor performance on the back of a handful of poor performances. Its been a while since we gelled. Cabaye, Tiote and Ba are all shadows of the players they were pre-christmas. I think the lack of a squad is hindering us alot, they look dead on their feet. If, and its a big if, we get into europe that isn't going to help matters unless we a) use it to blood youngsters (though we aint arsenal, our youngsters would go out early on) or b) we buy a handful of decent players (that simply isn't going to happen).

    Where next for Newcastle? Hell i'm just happy we've comfortably got enough points that we wont get relegated :)
