Originality isn't his strong point - he was calling us a one man team a moment ago . . .

I have faith in him if we use him properly. "If you're good enough, you're old enough" is ballbags. There's more to football than just technical ability. We dropped a mountain on Ramsey's shoulders when he was recovering from a horrific injury and it's no surprise he didn't step up. I don't think he was terrible but you can clearly see the difference Rosicky has made. Given time in a winning squad and introduced gradually and I he'll fulfill his potential.

    ... I think.

Agree <ok> I really rate Ramsey. He was given a huge job to do this season, basically filling in for Fabregas and Nasri and was aksed to carry the weight of the midfield for over half the season. Evetually he tired and his form dipped, but that shouldn't negate all the hard graft he put in. Some on here kept running him down and calling him ****, when in fact is pass rate was more successful that Fabregas'.

Ramsey is a very decent player who has got a long Arsenal career ahead of him <ok>

Can't agree with that mate, Ramsey's ball retention is poor and he stifles our attacking play. Rosicky is miles ahead of him at the moment, thank God he stepped up. Not convinced Ramsey has what it takes to be responsible for our attacking midfield play.

Arsenal 7 - Blackburn 1 - Says it all. They are on decent form and we destroyed them

Sunderland 1 - Arsenal 2 - Great away win on a dodgy pitch. Their goal was a freak due to the injury to Der Mert

Arsenal 5 - Spuds 2 - We played amazing and destroyed them. Nerver easy to win a local derby espicially as spuds were 10 points clear of us.

Arsenal 3 - Milan 0 - Actually the least impressive imo. I didnt think we played that well and milan were walking around. They seemed to step it up and even managed to edge the second half.

Liverpool 1 - Arsenal 2 - We didnt get that battered. That is a myth. And we won at anfield. Never easy.

Arsenal 2 - bar codes 1 - Played amazing and battered them. Got the deserved win.

So in our run we have beaten a resurgent sunderland away and 3 teams from the top 7. As well as the italian champions and a blackburn team playing well and with a resonable record vs ther big sides this year <ok>

We have turned the corner and are flying now. I predict a 4-0 win vs everton and 3rd place is basically in the bag. Form and momenteum matters....

It's misleading. Just because he's the only one who scores goals doesn't make him the only player we have.

Arteta, Oxlade Chamberlain, Rosicky, Vermaelen, Sczesny, Sagna, Koscielny and Song have all shone this season. Yes, apart from Van Persie our strikers our crap. Don't blame us for the fact that Van Persie's getting so many chances, as in the 4-5-1 sort of system we play, there's ONE ****ING STRIKER!

This is like looking at a goalkeeper's save ratio and calling a team a 'one man team' because without his saves they'd be 20th or whatever. Don't forget the defence! In the same way that when looking at Arsenal, you should not only look at Van Persie's record, but, for example, the incredible effect players like Rosicky have had on our team.

And if we are a one man team, you were beaten 5-3 by a team with ten less players <laugh>

He is just way too slow in possesion. You have to move the ball quickly and rosicky does that. Ramsey seems to try stupid back heels, seems to run into blind alleys (he has zero pace too) or just takes 5 touchs before passing. He has killed us this year. He could still be a decent arsenal player. But at present he cripples us when he plays <ok>

In our run of wins, I would say our stand out player has been Thomas Rosicky. So the 'one man team' argument is just tedious and wrong.

I would say he has been worse since his return from injury, and we should remember his great performances before he broke his leg. But right now he doesn't have the performances to make him a regular starter.

What I don't understand though is how he lost his 'directness' since his injury. Could be bad memory on my part but I remember him playing much simpler before his injury, playing passes much earlier etc.

Now too often we see him going into pointless dribbling adventures which more often than not, instead of creating more space for him, limit his options for the final ball.

Van Persie gets injured. Who comes into the system and scores the goals? One man team.

We will have another main striker who will step and up and convert the chances gifted by our great service delivery.

Always the extremes. Cant we say that it is neither. We just had the bad part of our eason at the beginning this year. I do think we are learning some things about our strategy as we go ad making improvements. I doubt many fans really understood the sacrfices the club as a whole made when we invested in the stadium, and prioritized our youth system.

What I have seen is a steady improvement from the time we lost the main part of the invincibles.

    No, not really.

As already demonstrated to you. RVP has been banging in the goals BECAUSE of the brilliant play of the players around him. He said so himself.

As the LONE striker, it's obvious he's going to score the most. Should another LONE striker play in his place, then he would score the lion's share too.

Perhaps you'd care to rephrase your wumming, because you're not doing very well with it at the moment <ok>

  16. Do you actually understand football at all?

A player has a brilliant season - a career season - so everyone else in the team is poor???? Strange logic.

  18. Got to say I agree with this. Ramsey's poor season is not injury related, or pressure related in my view. I think he is too slow (pace wise), not strong enough, and is also too slow to spot and act on opportunities. What he needs is to work on his strength and pace - he may never be quick but he is so slow at the moment its embarrassing. He also needs to work on releasing the ball a lot quicker.

Overall a very poor season for him, which I am sure he is disappointed with. There are no signs yet that he will be top class.

And yet his pass completion rate is better than Fabregas' . . .
