I went with 3 others to the cup final yesterday. We did the platinum hospitality package, free drink, 3 course meal, bus to and from Hampden and then more drinks and food on return, with some entertainment throughout. The match itself, we missed way too many chances. Stokes should have gotten at least 2, not including the penalty incident. He did make a meal of it but it should have been a penalty. On a better day, he'd have scored before he was clipped, but tbh he was red rotten yesterday. I'd only have given Mulgrew and Broony passmarks yesterday. The rest, even the keeper, seemed to all be having off days. Not good enough. Credit to Killie though. They kept plugging away and got their goal. I'm not sure they deserved the win, but they did enough. Their bastard keeper was outstanding, making save after save. If we had gotten the penalty, the ****'d probably have saved it he was on such good form yesterday. We heard about the player's dad collapsing when we were on the bus back to Parkhead. Awful news. Found out last night he had died. Kilmarnock won their first trophy in what, 15 years? Good luck to them and well done on their win. Condolences to the boy's family. Oh and **** the huns
Alright Tina? Luckily, the huns like Nev have been acting with all the dignity and decorum we've come to expect from them. As for the game, too many player's didn't perform on the day. If Hooper had taken the chance in the opening minutes we would probably have gone on to win comfortably but it set the pattern to the game. Fair play to Killie. I don't have a problem seeing a team outside of Celtic and Rangers win a trophy.
