Gone for Jenson, everything seems to be going perfect for him at the moment, and we're expecting showers also so it just strenghthens my prediction even further. But at the end of the day any of the McLarens and Red Bulls could win.
I think Button will win. I think Mercedes will be quick here those 2 long straights. Maybe a podium for Schumacher unlicky not to get one in Aus because of his gearbox.
I have also gone for Jenson Button, he seems to be the perfect driver right now (save for slight 1 lap pace loss to Hamilton), I hope he wins a MCLaren 1-2 and gets a lead over Vettel in the WDC
Everyone seems to think its just McLaren V Red-Bull atm But I think Lotus might be there as well. Raikkonen screwed his qually up so we don't actually know where he will qualify in a mistake free session, while the rookie Grosjean was ahead of both bulls, as he was taken out on lap 2 we didn't see their race pace but pre season testing suggested they had very good tyre wear. In clean air Raikkonen had good pace and made up something like 10 places in the race. So if they both qualify ahead of Red-Bull and make it through the 1st few laps they might even beat Red-Bull, especialy Raikkonen
Chose Button after being stuck for choice between Button, Hamilton and Vettel. I'm not sure what happened in Aus qualifying but in the race the Red Bull seemed able to match, or just match the McLaren so they have a very good chance.
Been saying it all week, Perez. 35 or so laps on the options last week was double what anyone else did, and he still had the pace. I think Sauber are good, and if it rains, thats even more of an opportunity for him to win.
I didn't know it was as many as that blimey edit: Didn't he lose places before his pit and on the last lap due to such intense tyre wear?
Massa's getting a new chassis for Malaysia "to clear up any doubts about the unusual performance of his car during the weekend at Albert Park."
He lost places to people with brand new option tyres, but pretty much kept within a second of them if i remember rightly.
quite a few medium straight alongside the two main ones here. expect mercedes and mclaren to do well because of this, but think red bull will also do well cause of the medium speed corners.
I believe that in Australia Vettel & Button set their cars up for racing on full tanks whilst Hamilton went more for the quali set-up. This time round he may edge more towards a full tank race set-up now he knows how much quicker he can be over 1 lap against his rivals. It can still be anyone's race but likely to be any of the main 3 unless the weather plays havoc.
Mclaren have said they will be stronger because they are faster around high speed corners but said Red Bull have better traction. Which to me sounds odd considering the sliding that RBR was doing last week. However you can never rule Red Bull out.
Nah Vettel was hounding him in the corners, but not the straight.. so he could have finished 4th. Best thing to take away is that he is looking more complete than his younger teammate for the 1st time in his comeback, other than Canada.
