These players will all be out of contract in the summer.

    Drogba
    Berbatov
    Del Piero

Do ya think we should try and get one of them as a backup to RVP and Pod?

Berba i've always thought would be great at arsenal, we (up until this season) made 4587 chances a game and took maybe 2 of them, berba would cum in his pants over them chances and get us alot of goals

Berba would be good because he is technically good enough. Drogba I wouldnt want. Past it and too big an ego. Would probably want 200k a week so he will end up in china or at chelsea again.

Berb is having his contract extended by a year through some clause to be activated by United. Purely so we don't lose him on a free i believe.

Can't see Berb down-grading to Arsenal. A move to Germany is far more likely.

I would definately go in for Drogba, he still has it. He was the best player against Napoli and was instrumental in pulling Chelsea through. At least he wouldn't have to play against us! :p

Drogba is unrealistic, he wouldn't settle for being second choice behind RvP. Berbatov will also be looking for first team football I'd imagine as he's entering his twilight years.

Im thinking sticking him in the centre and moving RVP to the right or behind. RVP can play in so many different positions. Also it would be great to give RVP some rest and Drogba would lead the line so well. He would bring in so many of our players. Just imagine the link up play with RVP, Walcott, OXO etc!
Drogba chests down the ball, controls, holds 2 defenders off and lays it off to RVP.....bang.....goal!!!!!!!

If either Berbatov or Drogba where willing to come to Arsenal and not complain to much about being on the bench then i'd take either or both of them!

One of the things that I do like about Jayram is that although (I feel) he tends to be a bit harsh on our players, he manages to keep his standards high when talking about other team's players.

I am in complete agreement with his triple negative.

To be honest I didnt think of this. I have always said we need back up strikers who can get game time out wide in our system and with rvp being number 1. Thus I dont think we should go for ANY striker like berb or drogba who can ONLY play in the striker role. We need someone like podolski <ok>

Drogba would be a quality addition.

However i'm still hoping a deal for Podolski gets worked out.

Is that the quality additions in Chamakh and Park lads? Drogba could be 100 years old and still do better than those hopeless wonders...

  18. The logic of bringing in players who are not good enough (any more) to replace Chamakh and Park seems odd.

Chamakh needs to go, but I would keep Park (he has the talent and I think he might get better now he knows he is free to pursue his career).

A Chamakh replacement needs to be better than the three you mentioned.
