swans and wigan have shown interest in this player, i cant say i know anything about him.

According to reports Real Mallorca are hoping to receive Premier League offers for Ivan Ramis.

The Spanish club are understood to have to sell players this summer to balance the books.

They are reckoned to be ready to cash in on Ramis who came close to joining Celtic last year.

AS claims Premier League clubs will also be encouraged, with Wigan Athletic and Swansea City believed to be interested.

Ivan Ramis Barrios, 27 year old, 6ft 2" centre back. Has 7 goals in 141 appearances for Real Mallorca with 2 red cards this season and 9 caps when representing Spain at Under 19, 21 & 23 levels. (Wicki) La Liga season 2011/12 he has 25 games, 26 shots and 2 goals.

Celtic had a bid of £3 million rejected but the likes of Espanyol, Villa Real and Sevilla also fancied him along with PSG in France. He is on contract until 2015 at £11k a week with a buy out clause of 6 million euro. Known as a strong, loyal, and respected defender in Spain. Caulker replacement??????

I agree Dai, 27 is quite often when a player is reaching his peak. Worth a look at.

Musty: why would you prefer anyone that young? (in a footballing sense).

With age comes experience (now I'm just sounding creepy), and late 20's is when most footballers are in their prime as others have said. Worth a look and he won't want to play in the Championship with Wigan.

I think age is not an issue , if your good enough your old enough, plenty of teenagers playing world class football and if our fit enough 27 is no age ,look at ryan gigs a 27 yr old with todays training diet and general fitness ethic should go on for a good 10 years
