absolutely but these things happen. i think too many players had off days. hopefully this will give the players a kick up the arse. hooper was pretty ordinary all day long and should have been taken off long before he did. i think there could be big changes next weekend
It was one of those days. It's been coming for a whole though. Complacency has been creeping in a little. Last week was the same, but the sending off for Dundee unite masked it. Sods law it came in a cup final though. Had hooper scored early on when gifted a chance, which he should have scored, Celtic would have won easily. Should hopefully serve as a kick up the arse for the rest of the season. Need a good performance next week now.
Was a good game, both teams had their chances and was end to end at times. A draw would have been a fair result - but ill take the win!! I thought ScotT Brown was best player in first half after he switched to the right. Still trying to see these other 7 world class saves Bell made in the match - he made the outstanding save from Stokes header but the rest I would expect him to save. As for the penalty claim, yet to see any evidence that shows contact. The player was sliding in to block any potential shot coming in not tackle the player. The ref can only give a penalty if he (or one of his assistants) clearly sees contact was made. Loved John Hartsons comments "It was a definate penalty for me ...... he just delayed his Dive" couldnt believe my ears, so that would be a dive then john, as in simulation, as in not a penalty!! Two feet in the air also didnt help his cause! Anyway was a good game of football (I thought anyway) on a good park with both teams attacking and both could have scored 3 or 4 easily on another day. Im just glad we took one of our chances!! Noce to see the Celtic fans waited to applaud the winning team.........
Killie scored, we had better chances and ****ed them up so Killie deserved the win and well done to them. Harry FFS it was a bad call from a poor ref, they happen to every team frustrating but such is life.
Tam's on-the-money assessment Was Rogne injured? If he wasn't, the substitution and complete re-juggling of the team (Ledley to LB, Mulgrew to CB, Broon oot right, Forrest switching wings etc etc) cost us. The ball for the winning goal was a peach and Killie deserved their win.
Where the **** is emilio at the min? I appreciate he was out for a long time, but he's been back a while now? He should be playing, gives us more balance than mulgrew at left back IMO
Didnt see it yesterday, but he's looks very average so far this season!! Big Dan's a better CB than him!
I think they wanted Ki on and its was a choice between Victor, Ronge and Wilson for the hook for tactial reasons only. Wilson probably got left on for his pace with Killie looking to break. Forest should have been hooked.
Well, that worked Lennon does it all the time - hardly ever a like for like substitution. He'll move folk about so that the opposition have to change any man-marking. Personally, I thought it was to put Ki in the middle as he's better on the ball and at shooting from distance than Broon and to switch Forrest as Ledley had started to come inside throughout the second half and we hadn't really stretched Killie on the left. If it was to have Broon tracking back on the right then it most definitely failed.
maybe it was a foul as there was VERY minimal contact. but he delayed the dive and paid the price. the best part is the goal was gaping if he'd cared to look up but no he was resigned to going to ground. you ****s canny score pens anyway
Yes. You know it was too, hence all your Willie Collum pictures yesterday. You jumped the gun on the Hun revisionists and didn't wait for the party line that it wasn't a pen.
had enough chances to win 2 or 3 games, hooper is heavily overrated championship striker, samaras should have been on from the start as he is our only striker with a bit of class and stokes should be ashamed of himself looking for a pen at the end when he could have easily scored too many players went into the game thinking we had already won it and in the end killie deserved to win it, if you dont take your chances you dont deserve it good enough for scotland but a million miles away from being any sort of team in europe
