Well, WHU they need a win and a draw more than Reading or a like for like end to the season and at least be able to score 2-0 more goals than Reading.

With 6 teams vying for 3 play off places the top 9 places are still all to play for.............CAN we beat WHU? I hope for a draw at least..

I still wouldn't put money on it not happening for him, but the body language didn't look great on Sat. He doesn't look happy.

It could be a hard lesson for NM to learn but the grass is rarely greener elsewhere even though it might appear so. How many of us have changed our job/company to fall flat on our asses?
Yes WHU are at present a bigger club than BCFC so theoretically much more likely to get to the "Promised Land". But life has a habit of turning things upside down. He could still be in the Championship next season challenging City for promotion - stranger things have happened before.

Be interesting to lip-read Sam's comment after NM missed his goal chance before being taken off! It didn't look very complimentary.

IMO Wrong club to go to with Big Sam in charge....wrong type of football for his ability. He should have known that after coming away from us!

Onefor I think it's plainly obvious that Nicky is incapable of thinking for himself and let's his agent do all the thinking for him. Stupid boy who will be a wasted talent!

What I don't understand is why we put him on the market...why not let him play out his contract, was it really worth 1.6m? If it mean't he might have scored the goal that kept us up?
By putting him on the market, unsettled not only Nicky but the whole club.
We have a board that may have the backing of SL's money but have no idea about running a football club IMO.

Given how many goals he has scored since he left then yes £1.6m was worth taking?

Matt, you may well be right. However I think it much to early to judge NM, it can take some players a season to 'bed' in and I'm also not convinced big Sam is the right manager for him.

Maynard had lost his marbles here, certainly not a prem player,he will struggle at wham.i think he should have gone to Lesta where he might have had a chance,Wham are to big for him.

ITS the greed of the agents that are the bane of most players and clubs nowadays

He still has the goalscorers instinct and that is something you can't teach - not so great in one-on-ones but feed him 10 decent crosses a game and he'll finish, no question...

Going to WHU didn't seem like much of a gamble and I still reckon it will work out as they will probably still make the prem and make no mistake, Big Sam is about as popular as a fart in a spacesuit, they tolerate him and his style of football so long as he does what he was employed to do and get them up

If he does, he'll be replaced by a manager who does play football and this will be the best possible scenario for Nicky...
