Thats unlikely sorry mate. But i am looking forward to seeing the meanest defence in the league against your free scoring players. Thankfully we wont have Butter Fingers Gulacsi in goal tomorrow. Its Pay back time for the last game @ St.Marys.
I have full confidence in you beating us to be honest, since xmas I have not been confident in how we've been playing. It will be a close game though, I can't either team running riot with the scoring.
Agreed. It could well be our fav winning score....1-0.!!! That will do for me. BTW...how many Saints fans are making the trip north for the game mate ?
I can't think it will be a big turn-out, a 500 mile round trip on a Tuesday night isn't going to appeal to many.
why oh why do the league make the longest away trips midweek games? I know that some of this has been due to rearrangements (Cardiff Cup Final, Pompey not paying the bills) but home and away against Southampton in midweek? It almost as if some evil little sod is sitting in their office cackling away as they make us suffer. As for 4/6 of the last away games being in London (with Portsmouth thrown in) where did that come from?
It could be worse. West Ham v. Middlesboro games have mirrored the Saints Hull City games as tuesday nighters. Southampton to Hull is nowhere near as bad as some may suggest. But agree both games should have been saturday fixtures.
No idea, no more than a 1000 I think. We would have sold out the away section on a Saturday. Compared to our start and the way we have played hasn't been great. Pessimism is the best, when something good happens it makes me happier.
I'm a pessimist The last time I was optimistic about Saints was when we got knocked out of the play offs by Derby. Since I have become a pessimist, when we have a high, I'm high.
It would be a nice gesture if the City fans gave those Saints fans who make the journey a bit of applause considering we all know the inconvenience involved. Can't see it happening though.
Agreed on both points. But then again Cardiff City fans were hardly queing up to do anything similar to us last tuesday night. At least we are playing a team that wont park the bus like many do. If the pitch is flat and even (some hope i know) then it could well be a great footballing match. IF i am honest and IF someone offered me it now I would swap/accept defeat tuesday night for THE WIN on saturday @ the King Prawn stadium without a doubt. Mrs T does have a soft spot for Nigel Adkins and she has a pic of him and her as her mobile screen pic. Sad but true..Lol. Seriously though Nigel Adkins is a lovely man and proves that crap ex.players do indeed make the best managers.
Adkins certainly doesn't come across as being a lovely man! I may be being bias because he is ex Scunthorpe though
I doubt it, but it's always nice to see a bit of cameraderie between fans as long as it doesn't interfere with the spitting abuse and hatred during the match. Of course I exclude Leicester and Leeds from that.
