There is some justification to say we play better against better teams. Better than Chelsea for 1st 20 mins, equal to Man City for large swathes of that game and reasonable performance against Tottenham at their place. However not so great against United at LR, Gunners and Liverpool away.

Which QPR team will turn up, that is the $64 000 question!

Give the fella a break guys. Hughes is inevitably going to be asked about the run-in we’ve got, and what’s he supposed to say? “To be fair, all the teams we play in the run-in are far stronger than us, have much better players and are in better form. Realistically we’ll really be lucky to pick up any points at all between now and the end of the season, so there’s very little doubt in my mind that we’ll be relegated. Essentially the whole team will just be going through the motions until May, and my staff and I will be on the training ground every day making sure that the players are in no doubt that they really shouldn’t put in any more than the absolute bare minimum of effort, because there’s really no point. Fortunately, from a personal perspective I made sure that I put in a release clause in my contract, so I genuinely couldn’t care less”. :bandit:

I hadn't read Sparky's comments before today but I was thinking about the same thing over the weekend although I don't agree with his conclusions.

Just how disrespectful do we have to be towards the other teams in the Premiership to intimate that we've not really played well against them because they aren't one of the "big" teams? How arrogant is it to think that we are going to play better against the teams we are due to face in the run in to the end of the season bearing in mind we've only beaten Chelsea and Stoke previously? We lost against Liverpool, Sunderland, Arsenal, Man Utd, Spuds and Citeh with draws against the Swans and Baggies.

If we can't muster enough class to beat Bolton where the feck does Sparky think we are going to find the quality to do the business over a top 6 side?

IF we beat enough of them and IF we avoid relegation then what a fantastic couple of months these will be, they'd be on par with winning the Championship if we pick up 7 or 8 wins. What has Hughes seen in the team that I haven't? What player or players have just been a bit off form or a tad unlucky that are going to suddenly come up with the goods and lead us out of the drop zone?

We've had the odd flash of quality here and there but can we please take a dose of reality pills and admit that on the whole Rangers have been dire and we deserve to be in the poop. I honestly think that if we avoid the drop next season will be another kettle of fish entirely but it's only an 'IF' and I don't see us winning more than 2 more games in this campaign. We'll then have the whole off season to wonder what will happen to us as a club, where the management, owners and players will go to etc.

I intend going to every home game left this season and I'll be cheering on the team, I've no time for booing, and even if we are relegated I'll be back next season too because we are QPR and that is what we do.

Reading! They nicked our shirts, and a religious man cannot permit thievery! Get their whole squad to Loftus road for the Liverpol game, get them all on their knees out on the pitch at half time, and cut every stolen shirt off them for our half time entertainment!

We got the players to survive now, apart from in central defense. If MH sticks to playing 2 defensive midfield players in front of the back 4 to adequately protect them, and plays 4-2-3-1 which also gives us fluidity in attack, and with Cisse playing, some bite, we could survive. He did this with some success against Everton, and most of the Bolton game until his late disastrous substitutions.

I am like a scientist who gets a taste for religion: I want to believe, I need to believe, I have to believe but... there is no evidence to support the proposition.
